DESC: CLOUD BASED PROJECTION SYSTEM WITH CONFERENCING AND MESSAGING APPLICATIONS
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001]The present invention generally relates to the field of data processing systems and methods. The present invention also relates to conferencing (video) and messaging tools for corporate and educational organizations. The present invention further relates to a cloud based unified collaboration system and methods. The present invention more particularly related to an improved cloud based projection system with conferencing and messaging applications for corporate and education/training applications.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002]With the advent of globalization and virtual reality, video conferencing and messaging tools/applications play a vital role in corporate communication systems. Video conferencing and messaging applications can be effective in conducting meetings between multiple remotely located users of the organization by substantial saving of time and travel expenses. Most of the modern businesses have offices/operations across the globe where employees from different office locations have to work together on a common project.
[0003]It is therefore there is high need of constant interaction between the employees to interact, share and communicate information with their team players across diverse geographical areas. Using tools such as video conferencing and messaging tools, multiple employees can collaborate on a single task as if they were in the same room, regardless of their geographic location. While commonly referred to as conferencing, it is to be understood that collaborationsystems that allow video conferencing messaging such as a chat rooms and audio, such as a phone conference.
[0004]Conventional video conferencing systems used in corporate and training applications utilize a wide range of conferencing applications for making presentations and telecommunications in a seminar or a meeting. Such conventional video conferencing systems having a configuration in which have a main terminal device, one or more sub terminal devices, an image display unit displaying images or pictures for all participants (hereinafter referred to as a projector), and a server are connected to one another through a network. The conference system may include a function of allowing a participant to access data held by a projector or a server using a PC, or to capture a snapshot of an image or a picture being projected by a projector, or the like.
[0005]In such conventional video conference systems, it is very difficult to achieve seamless information exchange between the participants and several disparate hardware components are used to enable video conferencing. Also, the conventional video conferencing systems require all the participants to be assembled at a common conference room to interact with others at various locations. Such systems could be highly disadvantageous in a corporate or education system/setup where continuity of information exchange and communication is important. Also, the conventional conferencing systems are unable to provide a universal information exchange such as a cloud based application where the users of the system can seamlessly interact and communicate within the network environment.
[0006]Based on the foregoing a need therefore exists for an improved system and method for video conferencing and messaging applications in corporate and education organizations. A need also exists for an improved cloud based projection system (unified collaboration system) to seamlessly share content/information in conference and meetings to ensure continuity of discussions within the network. Also, an improved cloud based projection system with conferencing and messaging applications for corporate and education/training applications, as described in greater detail herein.
