Abstract: Abstract This invention provides a combined effect of locking by thread and friction mechanism constructed uniquely in an earring"s POST and PUSHBACK. This locking mechanism contains a post (male part) which has a threaded portion and a push back (female part) which has a complementary threaded portion on its base and two backwardly rounded ears. Two rounded ears of pushback forming a gap between them to allow the post to pass through the gap with adequate friction. This type of locking doubles the safety, give long life by resisting reducing metal memory of pushback, enhances locking for push backs irrespective of their size and metal type. The post has a step at base, for inserting the female part tapping tool. The tapping tool is used for creating threads. These threads are created up to 3.0 mm of length from the base as shown in FIG. 2. Push back is made of any precious or non precious metal as shown in FIG3.The male part of tapping tool is inserted for creating matching thread to form perfect nut bolt locking combination. Fig:B V. The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
Field of Invention:
This invention relates to Technique of Using Combined locking by "Thread and friction mechanism" for jewellery. . More particularly this invention relates to Thread and friction mechanism for pendant / ring /earring / or any other jewellery item.
This is a technique of combined locking, by any Thread and friction mechanism constructed uniquely in earring's POST and PUSHBACK In this mechanism earring post and push back can be made from any precious and non precious metals like gold, silver, platinum, brass, bronze etc.
It has following benefit:-
This mechanism has double safety compared to the conventional push back mechanism
In conventional pushback the safety of earring depends on the tension between two rounded ears of push back.
Over a period of time this tension weakens due to loss of memory in the metal, this effect lead to insecure locking of push back at this stage there is only option, to change the push back for better security.
But with this innovative technique we combined push back with threading, to double the safety.
This mechanism helps to increase the life as much as two times than conventional push back mechanism.
The thread has stronger strength than friction force of conventional push back mechanism.
The threads are less in numbers and easy to operate for the end user.
Summary of the Invention :
This invention is a original technique of combined locking, by any type of thread and friction mechanism constructed uniquely in an earring's POST and PUSHBACK, this method will double the safety, give long life by resisting reducing metal memory of pushback, enhanced locking for push backs irrespective of their size and metal type.
Detailed Description:
This invention provides a thread and friction locking mechanism in jewellery. The mechanism comprises of a post having a threaded portion and a push back having a complementary threaded portion on its base , said pushback having a base and two backwardly rounded ears defining a gap between themselves to allow the post to pass through the gap with adequate friction.
The ears of the pushback having the quality to spring back when stretched with the insertion of the post through the gaps defined by them.
The post has a step at base, for inserting the female part of a tapping tool to create threads on it.
Tthe push back is made of any precious or non precious metal and the male part of tapping tool is inserted for creating matching thread to form perfect nut bolt locking combination.
The threads on the post are created up to 3.0 mm of length.
This Mechanism contains two parts
1 Partly threaded post(male part):
This part is a cylindrical post, it is partly threaded as shown in fig.1 and 2
2 Threaded Push back (female part):
This push back has a base and two backwardly extended ears as shown in fig.3
The type of thread used in this mechanism can be any normal threads, The threading has following advantages
How assembly of this ring works ?
In the first step a post of any precious metal or non precious metal is made as shown in FIG.1.
The post has a step at base, for inserting the female part tapping tool. The tapping tool is used for creating threads. These thread are created up to 3.0mm of length from the base as shown in FIG. 2. In second step, push back of any precious or non precious metal is made as shown in FIG3.Then the male part of tapping tool is inserted for creating matching thread to form perfect nut bolt locking combination.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various alterations, modifications, and/ or alternative applications of the invention may be possible, if desired, without departing from the scope and sprit of the invention, which can be read from the entire specification. All these possible alterations, modifications, and /or alternative applications of the invention are also intended to be within technical scope of the present invention.
