Abstract: The Comfortable Surface Sweeping Device like a four wheeler trolly type machine is comprising of four wheels, two folded plates, one handle, two flat plates, one handle stand, one rod, one brush, some nuts bolts, posts, springs, rivets, and a brush catcher etc, and all are integrated in such a manner that by applying a little pressure on handle,The trolly will move forward with the brush and the dust articles on the rods are sweeped up and the roads will remain clean quickly. This system can carry some facilities such as the brush replacement facility, hanging facility of the device on wall due to folding system of the device. And the most important benifit is that the sweepermen need not lean their body and need not bow down their heads as a result they can prevent their sickness and the disease like waist pain, spinal pain and also spondilities which come from the conventional method of sweeping by using only the broom.

Technical field or the invention :
This invention relates to improvement in device for surface sweeping system.
Back Ground / Prior Art :
The conventional method of sweeping of the roads of all cities, town etc. are traditionally carried in the
same manner.
The municipalities use to appoint many sweeper-men to clean the roads everyday in order that the
roads remain free from dusts and garbages. From lane to highways these sweepermen work hard to clean
at a stretch in every day morning. But here it can be observed an unethical process so far which is very
unpleasant for human being. Beacause during a long period, by folding the waist and by bowing down the
heads, the sweeper men use to sweep the roads continously. As a result most of them suffer from back
pain, spinal pain, waist pain and sometimes even they become sick due to a disease like spondilities. Since
it is a matter of struggle for existance, therefore they do not accuse anybody. So that they bound to keep
themselves silent of their painful problem as it is under compulsion.
Only for that reason our attempt in this regard that the swecpemen can get some relief from their regular
routine job and take preventive measure for their health.
Therefore, after a long research we have come into a conclusion regarding this matter. We have
invented a manual-comfortable surface sweeping device. By using this device the sweepermen will get relief
because they need not lean forward their body and need not bow down their heads at all.
Objection :
We want to change the conventional method of sweeping of the roads, plane surfaces etc because it
is observed that in this traditional sweeping system, the sweeper men become ill and suffering from different
disease.
As also it takes a lot of time in this system, means it is a very slow motion job indeed.
Our object:
Our aim regarding surface sweeping on the roads is only to implement our newly invented method by
using a new type of surface sweeping device in our country. Because it will give relief to the sweeper men
as they can privent their sickness due to bending or leaning forward invariably to save themselves from
the disease like spondilities or others.
Advantages and usefulness of the device :
Our newly invented, manually operated, comfortable surface sweeping device is an useful unique
machine and the beauty of the design of the device will also carry an impression of sophistication in this
modern era. The practical application of this device is very easy and simple, the sweepermen can sweep
the roads straight way and steadily means in standing errect position. So they need not bend waist or need
not bow down their heads at the time of sweeping up the roads. The roads will be more clean than before.
The sweeping will be a time saver than the conventional method of sweeping. It will be more comfortable
than previous system of sweeping on the roads. The recurring expense will be low. In spite of that by
application of the device the sweepermen can get relief very much and they will get rid of the sickness
after a long time. The device does not require any battery or any fuel because it is only a manually operated
mechanical device. It can be used in many places like lanes, bye lanes to highways, parks, platforms, roofs,

floors etc etc. This device can be hanged on wall when it will not in work because the device is made
with a folding facility. This device contains the replacement facility of the old, damaged or rejected brushes
after a long use.
Brief description of the drawing :
Fig. 1 in the sheet no. 1 shows one example of a sweeping device according to this invention.
Fig. 2 in the sheet no. 2 shows attachment among the plates P1, P2, P3, P4 and the wheels W1, W2,
W3,W4,
Fig. 3 in the sheet no. 3 shows the handle assembling with the plates to make the trolly.
Fig. 4 in the sheet no. 4 shows the fixing of pressure plate pp with the front portion of the trolly.
Fig. 5 & 6 inthe sheet no. 5 shows the attachment between brush (B) and catcher (C) and the
attachment between catcher (C) and the plates P1, P2.
Description of the device :
The newly invented comfortable surface sweeping device can sweep the roads or any plane surface
quickly and easily and contain four revolving wheels which arc fixed and attached under two separate
folded flat type metal plates (P1, P2), another two flat metal plates (P3, P4) are joined strongly between
those folded plates (P1, P2) to make the device like a trolly (T) and a brush (B) with its catcher plate (C),
is attached in front of this trolly whose the description is explained here. The device can be made in
different design, shape, size and manners so that a common type surface sweeping device with a standard
measurement is described here and the ... drawing design of the device is drawn in the figures on the
drawing sheet no 1 to 5 accordingly. This surface sweeping device is made in such a manner that two
parallel aprox 2' long 2" wide and 3 mm thick specially designed folded metal (aluminium, iron etc) plates
(P1, P2) under which four rotary type wheels (w1, w2, w3 and w4) are fixed by rivets, are folded vartically
upwards after a length of 18" which is considered first fold and the length of 4" of the plates (P1, P2) are
kept for 2nd fold in horizontal forward direction and these portions are considered front portion of the
device. The wheels W1 and W3 are situated in back side end of the plates (P1, P2) and other two wheels
W2 and W4 are set up in the front side of the plates (P1, P2) after ,12" apart from the end of the plates
(P1, P2). 12" long other two flat type metal plates (P3 and P4) whose width is 2"and thickness is 3mm
arc fixed on the folded plates P1 and P2 in different position such as plate P3 is fixed on the plates (P1,
P2) near the back wheels (W1, W3) and the plates P4 is fixed on the plates (P1, P2) near the front wheels
(W2, W4).
A, 16 gauge, 3/4" diametre and 7' long folded metal pipe of which midle portion is one foot long and
folded on both sides are 3' long in length, is considerd as the handle (H) of the trolly. The ends of this
handle (H) are joined loosely by four posts S1, S2, S3 and S4. One end of the handle (H) is fixed in
between the posts S1 and S2 and other end is fixed in between the posts S3 and S4. All the posts are fixed
on the folded plates (P1 and P2) near the front wheels (W2 and W4) now the device is consided as a
four wheeler trolly which can move in any direction.,
A special design 12" long (which can be extended upto 36") & 4" wide brush (B) and a special design
brush catcher (C) are used in this device. The brush (B) is made of coir, fibre or nylon etc and the design
of the catcher is made in such a manner that the brush (B) can be easily placed in the channel type double
side folded catcher plate (c) made of galvanized metal sheet, as the top portion of the brush remains tightly
close in that channel of the catcher plate (C). This matching pair of the brush (B) and catcher plate (C)
are designed in such a manner that the outer side of the top of the brush (B) is perfectly mached in the
inner side of the channel of the catcher plate (C) and this is an advantage of the device because replacement
facility of the brush (B) due to old and damaged and rejected brush for replacement when required.

Four numbers of bolts (B1, B2, B, & B4) whose size is aprox 5" x 3/4" are welded on the top portion
of the catcher plate (c) in different position as the bolts (B1, B2, B3 & B4) are inserted into the holes (H1,
H2, H3, M4) which are made in the front portion of the folded plates (P1 P2) and four numbers springs (SP1,
SP2, SP, and SP4) are placed over the bolts (B1, B2, B,& B4) respectively and the extended portion of
the said bolts (B1 to B4) which are exist in the out side of the holes (H1 to H4) are locked by the matching
nuts.
As a result the brush (B) with catcher Plate (C) can be freely and easily moved up and down through
the holes of the plates (P1, P2) due to rough surface of the roads or any surface but this brush (B)
attachment will never separate from the trolly (T), In spite of this, there are two holes (H7 and H8) are
made in the vertical portion of the plates (P1, P2) in a specific point and another two posts (S5, S6) are
fixed on the plates (P1, P2) near the front wheels (W2 W4) and each post is containing one hole. The hole
H5 is in the post S5 and the hole H6 is in the post S6 and all the holes are made in same level. There are
two bolts B5 and B6and two spring (SP5, SP6) are used in these sections. The bolt B5 is placed between
the holes H5 and H7. And bolt B6 is placed between the holes H6 and Hg. The spring (SP5) is kept over
the bolts B3 and the spring SP6 is kept over the bolt B6. The bolts B5 and B6 are placed in such a manner
that the extended portion of the bolt B5 and B6 on which a metal plate (PP) called pressure plate is welded,
can be moved inside means towards the posts (S5, S6) by applying a little pressure on the pressure plate (PP).
The pressure plate (PP) is kept and adjusted in such a position that normally the plate (PP) touches
always with the catcher plate (c) due to smooth, confortable and easy operation of the device.
One 48" long four folded squire type metal rod (R) of which the length of each side is 12" long, is
considered as the supporting stand of the handle (H) in order to maintain a specific height so that the device
is operated comfortably. The squire type folded rod (R) is set up with the device in such a manner that
one side of the rod (R) is inserted into the holes H9 and H10 which are made in a specific point on the
handle (H) and the opposite side of the folded rod (R) is kept on the plates P1 and P2 near the plate P3
closely and it is holded tightly by two locks L1 and L2 which are installed on the plates P1 and P2. This
installation arrangement is made for the folding system of the device as the sweeping machine can be
hanged on any wall when this is not used.
In spite of that one solid rod (R1) as per requirement is fixed between the side pipes of the handle (H)
to make the handle strong and to maintain the equal distance of the side pipes of the handle (H).
The drawings of the device has been shown in the sheets no. 1 to 5 along with this complete specification.

We Claim :
Claim : 1—A manually operated device titled "comfortable surface sweeping device" comprising of
a brush (B) with a catcher plate (C), four number wheels (W1, W2, W3 & W4), two specially desinged
folded metal plates (P1, P2), two flat and straight metal plates (P3, P4), six numbers of bolts (B1, B2, B3,
B4, B5 & B6) one handle (11), one supporting stand (R), two locks (L1, L2) for the stand of the handle
(H) one supporting rod (R1), four numbers of posts or stands (S1, S2, S3 & S4) for fixing the handle (H)
of the device, One pressure plate (PP), another two posts (S5, S6) for pressure plate fixing arrangement,
some rivets or nutbolts etc and all are integrated in such a manner that the wheels (W1, W2, W3, W4) as
well as brush (B) which are attached with the folded plates (P1, P2) can be moved together like a trolly
and by applying some presure over the handle (H) the trolly will move forward, as a result the dust
particles or garbages on roads, lands or any surface will be sweeped up quickly and easily by the brush
(B) and surface will become clean and in effect of that by using this time saver comfortable surface
sweeper device the sweepermen will get relief of their waist pain, back pain, spinal pain and also they can
take preventive measure from their suffering from the disease like spondilitics which usually comes from
the conventional sweeping method.
Claim : 2— The brush (11), catcher plate (C), wheels (W1, W2, W3 & W4), folded metal plates (P1,
P2), bolts (B1, B2, B3, B4), some reivets as claimed in claim-1, all are assembled in such a manner that
four wheels (W1 to w4) are fixed by the rivets under with the folded plates (P1, P2) of which 2/3rd portion
are straight in length which is called back portion of the device or plates (P1, P2) and first fold of the P1
and P2 are vertically upward which is l/6th portion of the plates (P1, P4) in length and 2nd fold is
horizontally forward which is the rest 1/6 portion of the plates (P1 P2) in length and these folded part are
called front portion of the device in which the brush (B) and catcher plate (C) are attached by the bolts
(B,, B2, B3, B4) and the position of the wheels (W1, W2, W3 and W4) are selected in such manner that
two wheels (W1, W3) are fixed under the end position of the plates (P1, P2) and other two wheels (W2
W4) are fixed under the plates (P1, P2) respectively, near the first folding point of the plates (P1, P2).
Claim : 3—The folded plates (P1, P2), wheels (W1 to W4), metal plates (P3, P4), posts (S1, S2, S3,
S4), handle (H) etc as claimed in claim 1 and 2, all are assembled in such a manner that two separate
folded plales (P1, P2), with an atiachcment of (he wheels (W1 to W4), are joined by rivets with two straight
and flat metal plates (P3, P4), in different positions on the plates (P1, P2) to make it a structural frame like
a trolly (T) in which the catcher plater (C) with brush (B) are attached in front portion of the plates (P1,
P2) and one of the said plates P3 is fixed on the end portion of back side of the plates (P1, P2) near the
wheels (W1, W3) and another plate (P4) is fixed on the plates (P1, P2) near the front wheels (W2 and W4)
in spite of that the handle (H) which is both side folded metal pipe of which the midle portion is aprox
one foot long and both sides arc aprox 3 to 4 feet long and the ends of the handle (H) are fixed on the
plates (P1, P2) near the front wheels (W2, W4) by the posts (S1, S2, S3, S2) and the fixing of the handle
(H) is done in such a manner that one end of the handle (H) is installed in between two posts (S1, S2)
which is fixed on the plate (P1) near the front wheel (W2) and other end of the handle is installed in between
another two posts (S3, S4), which is also fixed on the plate (P2) near the front wheel (W4) and all the said
posts (S1 to S4), are fixed on the plates (P1, P2) by rivets and in this continuation it is to say regarding
fixing of handle that fixing of the handle (H) in this device is installed in such a manner that the handle (H)
can be moved up and down easily for advantage facility of folding system as the surface sweeping machine
canbe hanged on any wall in vertical position by folding this device so that fixing of the handle (H) between
the posts are kept slightly loose.

Claim : 4—The folded plates (P1, P2), handle (H), supporting stand (R), supporting rod (R1), Locks
(L1, L2), etc as claimed in claim 1,2 and 3 and all are assembled in such a manner that the handle (H)
which is installed in the trolly type surface sweeping device is rest on a supporting stand(R) for steadily
fixing in a measurable position of that handle (11) strongly, for maintaining a particular height to operate the
trolly smoothly and comfortable and fixing of the supporting stand- (R) is installed in such a manner that
the supporting stand (R) which is made by four-folded rectangular shaped metal rod of which one side
is inserted into the holes (H9, H10), at particular position of the handle (H) and the other side of the
supporting stand (R) is kept rest on the plates (P1, P2) as well as near the plate P3 closely, to hold tightly
with the plates (P1, P2) by the locks (L1, L2) which are fixed on the plates (P1, P2) inspite of that a
(13×1/4" aprox.) solid metal rod (R1) is used in a specific position on the handle to make the handle (H)
strong and to maintained the equal distance between the both sides of the handle (H).
Claim : 5—The brush (B), Catcher plate (C), folded plates (P1, P2), bolts (B1, B2, B3, B4), with
matching nuts, springs (S1, S2, S3, S4) etc as claimed in claim 1 to 4 and all are assambled in such a manner
that the top portion of a special designed brush (B) is gripped tightly into the both sides bended portion
of the specially designed catcher plate (C) on which four bolts (B1, B2, B3 & B4) are welded in such a
different position that the end of the said bolts are placed and move freely into the holes (H1, H2, H3, H4)
which exist on the extended front portion of the plates (P1, P2) and the ends of the bolts (B1 to B4), arc
locked by the maching nuts which are extended over the holes (H1 to H4) in spite of that four springs (SP1,
SP2, SP3, SP4) are placed over the bolts (B1, B2, B3, B4) respectively as a result that brush (B) and catcher
plate (C) can move freely and smoothly up and down due to rough surface of the roads, lands, surface*
and in this continuation it is to say that the brush (B) fitting arrangement into the catcher plates (C) is
modified in such a manner that the damaged or rejected brush after a long use can be replaced easily
by a new brush in several times when it is required.
Claim : 6—The brush (B), catcher plate (C), folded plates (P1, P2), posts or stands (S5, S6), spring
(SP5, SP6), pressure plate (PP) as claimed in claim 1 to 5, all are assembled in such a manner that two
posts (S,, SA) with two holes (H5, H6) on its vertical portion respectively are fixexd on the plates (P1,
P2) near the front wheels (W2, W4) and other two holes (H7, H8) are made on the vertical portion of the
plates (P1, P2) at the same level that means the holes H5 and H7 are in the same line and other two holes
H6 and H8 are in the same line and two bolts (B5, B6) are placed between the holes with two springs (SP5,
SP6), and a pressure plate (PP) is fixed with the extended ends and other ends of the bolts (B5, B6), which
are extended of the holes H5 and H6 are locked by the matching nuts and the whole arrangement is done
in such a manner that the pressure plate (PP) always touches the brush catcher plate (C) and make a
constant forward pressure over the plate (C) for smooth operation and to maintain flexibility of the device.
Claim : 7—All the arrangements and the method of the newly invented device has been explained
and described before in this complete specification and the diagram and design of the device has been
shown in the sheet no 1 to 5 alongwith this complete specification.
