PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION The following specification describes the invention

Field of Invention:
The present invention relates to a method of mounting radiator and intercooler of an internal combustion engine. The present invention particularly relates to a common mounting bracket for a radiator and an intercooler of an internal combustion engine.
Background:
A radiator in a vehicle is used to cool the engine using a coolant. An intercooler is used to cool the temperature of a source of air coming from turbocharger before introducing the air to the engine cylinder.
Conventionally, rubber bushings are provided for mounting radiator on support bracket and frame for isolation from vibration. The radiator and intercooler are mounted separately on the engine house, both giving individual load to the engine. In such a case, the no. of engine mountings is more thereby the overall weight of the engine compartment is increased.
In other typical embodiment, the intercooler is mounted on the radiator which in turn is mounted to the engine; thereby load of intercooler is passed on to the radiator. Therefore load on radiator is drastically increased, which might leads to its failure.
Separate mounting for the radiator and the intercooler and the complication of too many ports and other components gives rise to manufacturing and repairing problems.
Thus, to overcome the aforementioned deficiencies it is desirable to provide a common mounting bracket for the radiator and the intercooler.

Objects of the Invention:
An object of the present invention is to mount the intercooler and the radiator together using a common mounting bracket.
Various modifications of the disclosed objects, as well as alternate objects of the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. It is therefore contemplated that such modifications can be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the present invention as defined.
Description:
To overcome the above deficiencies present in the conventional mounting brackets for the radiator and the intercooler, common mounting bracket is used to mount the radiator and intercooler together. This helps in reducing the load to the engine and the radiator and reducing the number of components used for mounting the radiator and the intercooler.
The present invention relates to a common mounting bracket for the radiator and intercooler for an internal combustion engine.
Fig. 1 illustrates a common mounting bracket for the radiator and the intercooler in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention. A radiator 100 used to cool the engine is mounted to the engine house by a bracket 110 on one side. An intercooler 200 used to cool and compress the intake air is mounted to the engine house by a bracket 210 on the corresponding side where the radiator is individually mounted to the engine. On the other side of the radiator and the intercooler a common mounting bracket 300 is

used to mount the radiator 100 and the intercooler 200 to the engine housing, thereby reducing the load to the engine.
Although the invention has been described with reference to the specific embodiment, this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense. Various modifications of the disclosed embodiment, as well as alternate embodiments of the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. It is therefore contemplated that such modifications can be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the present invention as defined.
