Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a communication system that is capable of improving communication quality in a case where a plurality of communication devices having different ranges of communication with a terminal device are in an intermixed arrangement and capable of improving overall throughput. In a case where a remote radio head (RRH) is installed within a macro cell coverage area an uplink resource transmitted from a mobile terminal (UE) to a macro cell in other words an uplink carrier frequency band (UL1) of the portion of the macro cell surrounded by a solid line is received not only by the macro cell but also by the RRH. Then in the macro cell the macro cell uplink resource reception signal received by the macro cell and the macro cell uplink resource reception signal received by the RRH are combined.
1. A communication system comprising a movable terminal device (71) and a plurality of communication devices configured to perform radio communication with said terminal device (71), wherein
said plurality of communication devices include a large-scale communication device (1601) having a relatively large range in which communication with said terminal device (71) is possible and a small-scale communication device (1603) having a relatively small range in which said communication is possible,
said large-scale communication device (1601) and said small-scale communication device (1603) are configured to communicate with each other and are installed such that at least parts of said ranges in which said communication is possible overlap each other, characterized in that
said small-scale communication device (1603) is configured to receive an uplink resource transmitted to said large-scale communication device (1601) from said terminal device (71) and, upon receipt of said uplink resource, transmits a reception signal regarding said uplink resource received to said large-scale communication device (1601), and
said large-scale communication device (1601) combines a reception signal regarding said uplink resource transmitted from said terminal device (71) and received and the reception signal regarding said uplink resource transmitted from said small-scale communication device (1603) and received.
said large-scale communication device (1601) and said terminal device (71) transmit and receive component carriers of a first frequency to perform radio communication, and
said small-scale communication device (1603) and said terminal device (71) are adapted to transmit and receive component carriers of a second frequency different from said first frequency to perform radio communication.
3. The communication system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said terminal device (71) sets a transmission condition for performing an uplink transmission from said terminal device (71) to said large-scale communication device (1601) or said small-scale communication device (1603) as a transmission condition set in advance for any one of said large-scale communication device (1601) and said small-scale communication device (1603) that has higher reception quality with respect to the reception signal regarding said uplink resource transmitted from said terminal device (71) and received, to thereby perform said uplink transmission.

The communication system as claimed in claim 3, wherein at least one of whether or not said transmission condition is possible to be set as said transmission condition set in advance and a period in which said transmission condition is set as said transmission condition set in advance is selected in accordance with a moving speed of said terminal device (71).
5. A communication system comprising a movable terminal device (71) and a plurality of communication devices configured to perform radio communication with said terminal device (71), wherein
said plurality of communication devices include a large-scale communication device (2501) having a relatively large range in which communication with said terminal device (71) is possible and a small-scale communication device (2506) having a relatively small range in which said communication is possible,
said large-scale communication device (2501) and said small-scale communication device (2506) are installed such that at least parts of said ranges in which said communication is possible overlap each other,
a first cell is formed of a first large-scale downlink component carrier and a large-scale uplink component carrier, said first large-scale downlink component carrier being used in a downlink transmission from said large-scale communication device (2501) to said terminal device, said large-scale uplink component carrier being used in an uplink transmission from said terminal device (71) to said large-scale communication device (2501), characterized in that
a second cell is formed of a second large-scale downlink component carrier and a small-scale uplink component carrier, said second large-scale downlink component carrier having a frequency different from that of said first large-scale downlink component carrier and being used in a downlink transmission from said large-scale communication device (2501) to said terminal device (71), said small-scale uplink component carrier being used in an uplink transmission from said terminal device to said small-scale communication device, and
said terminal device (71) sets a transmission condition for performing the uplink transmission from said terminal device to said large-scale communication device (2501) or said small-scale communication device (2506) as a transmission condition set in advance for any one of said first cell and said second cell that includes a component carrier having higher reception quality with respect to the
reception signal received through the transmission from said terminal device (71), to thereby perform said uplink transmission.
6. The communication system as claimed in claim 5, wherein at least one of whether or not said transmission condition is possible to be set as said transmission condition set in advance and a period in which said transmission condition is set as said transmission condition set in advance is selected in accordance with a moving speed of said terminal device (71).
