Communication System Communication Device And Protection Method
Abstract: This communication system is provided with at least two ring networks in which nodes are connected in a ring shape carries out ERP in each ring network causes one of the ring networks to be a major ring that detects a failure in a shared link and causes the other ring network to be a sub ring. A shared node that terminates the shared link is provided with: a failure monitoring unit (311) that with respect to the at least two ring networks sharing the shared link detects failures in the ring networks and detects failures in the shared link; and a switching processing unit (312) that on the basis of the failure detection results determines a ring network to be the major ring; and an ERP processing unit (22 1 22 2) that when switching has been performed by the switching processing unit (312) stores post switching identification information to an R APS frame and forwards or transmits the frame.
