Specification

Claims:1. A composition for management of biofilm forming bacterial growth and biofilm formation in the oral cavity, comprising:
a. sodium pyrophosphate; and
b. ascorbic acid,
wherein sodium pyrophosphate to ascorbic acid w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.32-1:0.64.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein sodium pyrophosphate to ascorbic acid w/w ratio in said composition is 1:0.05.
3. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2, wherein sodium pyrophosphate weight percentage in said composition is 0.125%
4. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein ascorbic acid weight percentage in said composition is in the range of 0.04-0.08%.
5. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1 or 4, wherein ascorbic acid weight percentage in said composition is 0.0625%.
6. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5, further comprising suitable additives.
7. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6, wherein said composition inhibits biofilm formation in the oral cavity by 60-90%, or inhibits biofilm forming bacterial growth in the oral cavity by 90-100%.
8. A method of management of biofilm formation in the oral cavity, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6, and
b. contacting said composition with the oral cavity,
wherein said method inhibits biofilm formation in the range of 60-90% in the oral cavity.
9. A method of management of biofilm forming bacterial growth in the oral cavity, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6; and
b. contacting said composition with the oral cavity
wherein said method inhibits biofilm forming bacterial growth by 90-100% in the oral cavity.
10. A method of concurrent management of biofilm formation and biofilm forming bacterial growth in the oral cavity, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6; and
b. contacting said composition with the oral cavity,
wherein said method inhibits biofilm formation in the range of 60-90%, and inhibits biofilm forming bacterial growth by 90-100% in the oral cavity.
11. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5.
12. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6.
