The following specification particularly describes the nature of the invention:-

1.0 Introduction
Inventors offer an online food ordering services for Home Delivery or Pickup from a plurality of restaurants via a web based ordering platform.
With the invented system, user(s) can look for restaurants that deliver to their address and that serve the cuisine or food items that they are interested in. They can place an order at the restaurant of their choice from their computer terminal or mobile - totally free of charge (the restaurant may however charge the customer for delivery).
The invented system also provides mobile applications that provide same functionality as the website on a mobile device.
2.0 Methodology
1. User selects the order type - whether home delivery or pickup and searches for restaurants that match their criteria.
2. For orders of type home delivery, only those restaurants that deliver to the user's address are listed.
3. User selects a restaurants and then proceeds to add menu items to their order. The user may customize the menu items by adding special requests to adding any side items.
4. User reviews and submits the order. Application allows for two modes of payment - Credit Card or Cash on Delivery.
5. Restaurant is notified about the order by email & SMS and it also shows up on the order management terminal provided by the invented system to the restaurant.
6. Using the order management terminal, restaurant reviews the order details and accepts the order.

7. Once the order is accepted/authorized by the restaurant, it gets printed and at the same time the customer is notified by SMS and email about the estimated delivery or pickup time.
8. Restaurant delivers the order or makes it ready for pickup depending on the type of order.
9. For cash orders, the restaurant collects cash directly from the customer.

3.0 Uniqueness of Inventors technique
3.1 For Restaurants

1. Restaurants can promote their property on the concerned website with special offers or coupons.
2. The invented system allows restaurants to accept card payments even if they do not have a merchant account with a bank.
3. It leads to greater visibility of restaurant effectively resulting in their increased sales.
4. It permits access to analytics and trends across the platform. One can know the most popular restaurant, cuisine, menu items, trends of eating/spending etc.
5. Promote sales by providing attractive, interactive images of menu items with embedded information.
6. To avoid inconvenience, option of real time hiding of an out off stock/not served menu
7. Identification of top customers and extend special offers, service and discounts to them
8. Efficient management of backend manpower, logistic & inventory of raw material for executing the ordered food

3.2 For Customers
1. The invented system provides for one to view images of itemized menu with their metadata before ordering-this leads to better choices. Awareness and confidence amongst consumer
2. The invented system provides for Customizing an item/dish by adding special requests and including/excluding selected ingredients.
3. The invented system provides for one click reordering/simultaneous multiple order processing.
4. The invented system provides for marking items as favorites in history format to save time, resources while re-reorder them.
5. The invented system helps customer to locate their favorite restaurants/cuisines/items easily.
4.0 Payment Settlement
• The inverted system provides means so that all card payments are exclusively collected directly through the website.
• The invented system provides means for every week transfer of the collections to the restaurant after deducting the per order service charge are made.
• A detailed order report is also sent to the restaurant for verifying the billed orders.
• As cash payments are handled directly by the restaurants, the invented system provides means to collect an advance payment for its service charges based on the projected orders for a month.
• The invented system may also means to offer an additional credit so that the restaurant can serve additional cash on delivery orders during perk usage.
