Compressor And Refrigeration Cycle Device

Abstract: In a compressor, a liquid level sensor (30) is disposed at a position where the liquid level sensor (30) can detect the minimum liquid level which is required for an oil supply mechanism to supply an oil.  The liquid level sensor (30) is disposed at one place on an inner wall of a container (21).  The liquid level sensor (30) is disposed so that a longitudinal direction of an electrode (34) is orthogonal to a perpendicular line from a center Z of the electrode (34) to a center axis of a crankshaft (24).  Further, the liquid level sensor (30) is disposed so that the longitudinal direction of the electrode (34) is orthogonal to an axial direction of the crankshaft (24).

Specification

[Claim 1] A compressor comprising:
a container, wherein a mixture liquid of a refrigerating machine oil and a refrigerant is reserved in a bottom section of the container;
an electric motor housed in the container;
a crankshaft being a rotation shaft of the electric motor, the crankshaft drawing the mixture liquid from the bottom section of the container during rotation; and
a liquid level sensor including an elongated electrode for detection of whether a liquid level of the mixture liquid reaches a reference height, wherein both ends of the electrode in a longitudinal direction are located at different positions from each other in a rotation direction of the crankshaft.
[Claim 2] The compressor according to claim 1, wherein the longitudinal direction of the electrode is orthogonal to a perpendicular line from a center of the electrode to a center axis of the crankshaft.
[Claim 3] The compressor according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the longitudinal direction of the electrode is orthogonal to an axial direction of the crankshaft. [Claim 4] The compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the electrode has a rectangular plate shape such that a short side direction of the electrode coincides with an axial direction of the crankshaft.
[Claim 5] The compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the electrode has a cylindrical shape opening at both ends thereof in the longitudinal direction. [Claim 6] The compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the electrode is curved in an arc shape along the rotation direction of the crankshaft. [Claim 7] The compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein,
a suction section to suction the mixture liquid through an opening is provided

at a lower section of the crankshaft, and
the liquid level sensor includes, as the electrode, a pair of elongated electrodes to face each other in a radial direction of the crankshaft, respective lower ends of the elongated electrodes being at positions higher than the opening of the suction section. [Claim 8] The compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 7, further comprising:
a plate disposed inside the container, the plate separating, in an axial direction of the crankshaft, a space where the electric motor is housed and a space where the liquid level sensor is disposed.
[Claim 9] The compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the liquid level sensor is disposed at at least one place on an inner wall of the container. [Claim 10] The compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the liquid level sensor is disposed at two or more places on an inner wall of the container in the rotation direction of the crankshaft. [Claim 11] A refrigerating cycle apparatus comprising:
the compressor according to any one of claims 1 to 10; and
a controller to detect, using the liquid level sensor, whether the liquid level of the mixture liquid reaches the reference height and to control an operation of the compressor according to a detection result.
