FIELD OF INVENTION
The invention generally relates to a field of footwear and more particularly to soles of a footwear.
BACKGROUND
There are a variety of shoes available for variety of purposes like running, walking, trekking, playing, dancing etc. Purchasing different shoes for different applications results in both higher expenditure as well as more space occupancy at home. One of the major element that differentiates shoes based on the application is the sole. For e.g. Trekking Shoes have Rubber Sole with deep lugs/indentations to give secure footing on rocky surfaces. Soccer Shoes will have a hard sole with spikes/studs to provide increased traction on grass fields. Running/Walking shoes have a rubber sole with flat minimal depth patterns. Professional shoes have a hard sole with minimal depth patterns. A single pair of shoe that can be used for all kinds of applications and surfaces can prove to be very useful and cost saving.
Hence there is a need for a shoe that can be transformed based on the terrain or surface where a person desires to use them.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a configurable shoe sole arrangement is disclosed. The configurable shoe sole arrangement may comprise of a shoe having a sole. The sole may include at least one or more compartments. Each compartment may have a sole
hub, such that each sole hub may have a plurality of sole faces. The sole faces may be arranged in such a way that at an instance, only one sole face may engage the ground surface from one compartment. According to an embodiment, the configurable shoe sole arrangement may comprise of an arrangement for manually selecting a desired sole face based on the terrain. According to another embodiment, the configurable shoe sole arrangement may further comprise of an arrangement for automatically selecting the appropriate sole face. The present invention may enable using a single pair of shoes for multiple applications and terrains.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings is provided to assist in a comprehensive understanding of exemplary embodiments. It includes various specific details to assist in that understanding but these are to be regarded as merely exemplary.
Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.
Figure 1 illustrates a bottom view of a configurable shoe sole arrangement 100 according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention. The configurable shoe sole arrangement 100 may include a shoe having a sole 102. According to an embodiment, the sole 102 may be a plain sole. According to another embodiment, the sole 102 may be a sole with a pattern. According to yet another embodiment, the sole 102 may be a combination of plain and pattern sole. According to an embodiment, the sole 102 may comprise of at least one or more compartments 104. The compartments 104 may be provided on any part of the sole 102. The compartment may be provided at the front part, central part or rear part of the sole 102. According to an embodiment, the shape of one or more compartments 104 may be similar to each other. According to another embodiment, the shape of one or more compartments 104 may be different than each other. The shape of the compartment 104 may include shapes such as but not limited to a square, rectangle, triangle, pentagon, hexagon etc. According to an embodiment, the size of one or more compartments 104 may be similar to each other. According to another embodiment, the size of one or more compartments 104 may be different than each other. According to an embodiment, each compartment 104 may have a sole hub 106, such that each sole hub 106 may have a plurality of sole faces 108. According to an embodiment, the sole hub 106 may be of any shape such as a triangle, cube cuboid etc. having a separate sole face 108 on each face of the sole hub 106. According to another embodiment, the sole hub 106 may include a plurality of slides having a separate sole face 108 on each slide. The sole faces 108 may be arranged on the sole hub 106 in such a way that only one sole face
108 may engage the ground surface from one compartment 104 at one time. According to an embodiment, each of the compartment 104 may engage a similar sole face 108 on the ground surface. According to another embodiment, each of the compartment 104 may engage a different sole face 108 on the ground surface based on the terrain. According to an embodiment, a mechanism may be provided to engage the sole face 108 on the ground surface. According to an embodiment, the mechanism may include a slide like mechanism. The slide like mechanism may include multiple slides with sole faces 108 arranged in an overlapped manner such that may replace each slide with the next slide. According to another embodiment, the mechanism may be a motor operated mechanism. The motor operated mechanism may rotate the sole hub 106 to position the sole face 108 in the respective compartment 104. According to an embodiment, the sole faces 108 may include spikes, studs, deep patterns, less patterns etc. The plurality of sole faces 108 may enable an adequate grip based on different terrain and applications.
Figure 2 illustrates a schematic diagram of a configurable shoe sole arrangement 100 according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention. The configurable shoe sole arrangement 100 may further comprise of an arrangement for manually selecting 110 a desired sole face 108 based on the terrain or surface. According to an embodiment, the manual selection 110 feature of the configurable shoe sole arrangement 100 may allow a user to select the sole face 108 from a user input display. According to an embodiment the user input display may be a touch pad. According to another embodiment, the user input display may include a keypad or buttons to select the desired sole face 108. When the user selects the desired sole face, the information may be sent to the mechanism to set the selected sole face 108. According to another embodiment, a user may directly operate the mechanism through a structure provided on the outer body of the shoe. The structure may be directly connected to the mechanism. According
to an embodiment, the structure may be a button to replace each sole face 108 one after the other on the compartment 104. According to another embodiment, the structure may be a protrusion to rotate the sole hub to engage each of the sole face 108 on the ground. According to another embodiment, the configurable shoe sole arrangement 100 further comprises an arrangement for automatically selecting 112 an appropriate sole face 108. The arrangement for automatically selecting 112 the appropriate sole face 108 may include a plurality of sensors.
