Abstract: Embodiment herein a connector assembly (1000) comprising a receptacle housing (100) a tab-housing push element (202), a connector position assurance (CPA) (300). The CPA (300) comprising a through-going aperture, locking arms (302), a clip holder (303, and pre-lock latches (304). The CPA (300) is pushed to block a pre-lock surface housing stopper (101) of the receptacle housing (100) in a pre-lock position using the pre-lock latches (304) of the CPA (300). The CPA (300) is pushed to block a pre-lock surface housing stopper (101) of the receptacle housing (100) from the pre-lock position to an end-lock position using the clip holder (303) of the CPA (300) when the tab housing (200) is assembled with the receptacle housing (100). FIG. 7
We Claim;

a receptacle housing (100) comprising a pre-lock surface housing stopper (101); a tab housing (200) comprising a tab-housing lock element (201) and a tab-housing push element (202); and
a connector position assurance (CPA) (300), wherein the CPA (300) comprising:
a body (301) comprising a through-going aperture configured to receive the receptacle housing (100) and the tab housing (200),
locking arms (302) defined by a proximal end joined to a body of the CPA (300) and a distal end to meet the tab-housing push element (202);
a clip holder (303) joined between the locking arms (302) to lock the tab-housing lock element (201); and
pre-lock latches (304) joined to guiding surface (305) of the CPA (300) to lock the pre-lock surface housing stopper (101) of the receptacle housing (100),
wherein the CPA (300) is pushed to block the pre-lock surface housing stopper (101) of the receptacle housing (100) in a pre-lock position using the pre-lock latches (304) of the CPA (300), and wherein the CPA (300) is pushed to block the pre-lock surface housing stopper (101) of the receptacle housing (100) from the pre-lock position to an end-lock position using the clip holder (303) of the CPA (300) when the tab housing (200) is assembled with the receptacle housing (100).
2. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tab-housing push element (202) pushes the locking arms of the CPA (300) for removing blockages and moving the CPA (300) from the pre-lock position to the end-lock position.
3. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the CPA (300) is moved in a vertically downward direction in order to lock the clip holder (303) of the CPA (300) to the tab-housing lock element (201) and provide retention force in the receptacle housing (100).
4. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the CPA (300) is pushed in a partial inserted position in a first longitudinal positon to block the pre-lock surface housing stopper (101) of the receptacle housing (100) in the pre-lock position using the pre-lock latches (304) of the CPA (300).
5. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the CPA (300) is pushed in a fully inserted position in a second longitudinal positon to block the tab-housing lock element (201) from the pre-lock position to the end-lock position using the Clip holder (303) oftheCPA(300).
6. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, comprises a connector position assurance actuation to mate the CPA (300) with the receptacle housing (100), wherein the connector position assurance actuation is pushed by push-lock feature of the tab housing (200) to push the locking arms of the CPA (300) for removing blockages and moving from the pre-lock position to the end-lock position.
7. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the CPA (300)
comprises slidable component to slide on the guiding surface (305) in a pre-lock position to
mate the CPA (300) with the receptacle housing (100).
8. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the pre-lock latches (304) deflects and locks the CPA (300) so that the CPA (300) does not retract when assembled in the receptacle housing (100).
9. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the locking arms (302) prevents movements from the pre-lock position to the end lock position when the CPA (300) is assembled with the receptacle housing (100).
10. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tab-housing lock element (201) is of any polygonal geometry with two restricting surfaces or positive locking surfaces.
11. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the clip holder (303) formed in the CPA (300) is one of an L-shaped clip holder (303) and a U-shaped clip holder (303).
12. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the receptacle housing (100) comprises guiding surfaces (103) for the CPA (300) and a housing stopper feature (102) to lock the locking arms (302) of the CPA (300).
13. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein design of the receptacle housing (100) and the CPA (100) enables vertical movement of the CPA (100) which is normal to the locking latch of the receptacle housing (100).
14. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein when the CPA (300) is in the end lock position, actuation of locking latch of the receptacle housing (100) is not permitted or possible.
15. The connector assembly (1000) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the CPA (300) will not be moved from the end lock position to the pre lock position by applying load on locking latch of the receptacle housing (100).
