Conserving Power In Processing Systems
Abstract: A network device may comprise an auxiliary processor to conserve the power of the network device. The auxiliary processor may modify one or more definition parameters of the programmable processing unit based on determining that the load value of the programmable processing unit is lower than a threshold value. The modifying of the definition parameters may comprise reducing an operating frequency of the programmable processing unit, reducing a number of a micro-programmable processing unit, or both.
