“Sealed Illumination Assembly For Vehicles”
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sealed illumination assembly for vehicles. The illumination assembly may be configured to include an integrated printed circuit board comprising a light source mounted on top surface and a plurality of connecting wires. The printed circuit board may be supported by a base cover, wherein the base cover may be configured to include a plurality of apertures to route the plurality of connecting wires from the light source to an external light source. A light guide may further be mounted over the printed circuit board and the guide may be welded to the base cover. Such welding may ensure tight sealing of the illumination assembly. The illumination assembly may be completed by mounting a housing over the light guide and sealing the housing with the base cover. A top surface of the housing may configured to include a no of telltale symbols. The illumination assembly may be retained within a cutout panel of the vehicle via a gasket, wherein the gasket may help the illumination assembly to be in place during heavy vibration.
