Background of the invention
Conventionally, liquid is dispensed from a container such as jerry can by opening a closure and pouring the liquid from the container in a measuring cup provided with the container. Similary, when large measured quanities are required, the liquid is poured in a measuring cylinder.
However, when containers having chemcials therien, opening of the closure sometimes gives fumes in large quantity which may be harmful. For example, in case of container having disinfectant and simialr kind of liquid, and if the bottle such as jerry can is heavy in weight like 5 litres, 10 litres and the like, it very difficult for a person to lift the bottle and pour the liquid in the measuing cup. This is even difficult, when the continer is heavy and in case exact amount of liquid have to be poured in a measuring cup.
There are various self medication/liquid dispesning containers are available in the prior art. US Patent application 20160075503 disclose a self dipesing container for carbonated product. However, it does not provide measuring of the liquid dispensed. Further, various other self dispensing liquid containers are avaailable in the prior art. However, either they do not have measuring mechanism or have very complicated metering mechanism which increases cost of the container.
Certain medical liquid dispenser have self dispesning mechansim, where a closure cup has pipe atatched thereto which extends in the liquid of the bottle. In such type of medical liquid dispenser, when the liquid is pushed to the closure cup through the pipe by pressing the bottle, the liquid gets collected in the cloaure cup. However, the liquid returns back to the container when pressure on the container is released. So there is no accurate measurement of the liquid dosage.
Accoridngly, there exists a need to provide a container with self dispensing mechanism which overcomes abovementioned drawbacks.
