Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a cooking appliance (100). The cooking appliance (100) includes a panel (102) configured with an outer surface and operatively coupled to one or more heating elements, and a foldable plate (104) coupled to the panel (102) , wherein the foldable plate (104) is configured to move from a first pre-defined position to a second pre-defined position, and where the one or more heating elements are configured to heat the foldable plate (104). The first pre-defined position of the foldable plate (104) is below the panel (102) and the second pre-defined position of the foldable plate (104) is above the panel (102), and where the foldable plate (104) is moved from the first pre-defined position to the second pre-defined position through at least one roller (106). The first pre-defined position is a contracted position of the foldable plate (104) and the second pre-defined position is an extended position of the foldable plate (104).

[0001] The present disclosure relates generally to field of electric appliance. More particularly, the present disclosure provides a cooking appliance with a foldable plate for cooking different food items.

BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Multiple cooking appliances are used according to type of food been cooked by people of different community like roti, dosa, naan etc. are the staple food of Indian house hold. Cooking of Indian cuisine like roti, dosa, naan etc. requires an extra utensil like a griddle or a tawa which can be placed on induction or cooking means.
[0004] Existing solution can include cooking appliance where people have to buy an induction specific griddle or tawa which can be placed over the induction and facilitates cooking roti, naan, dosa etc. However, placing a separate griddle or a tawa on the induction increases cost due to individual induction and the griddle. Also, separate cooking appliances needs to be carried from one place to another according to cooking requirement. Sometimes, people need to purchase the griddle or tawa as per size of the induction cooking top. The griddle for induction can be specific due to material composition of the griddle or tawa.
[0005] There is a need to overcome above mentioned problem of prior art by bringing a solution that is cost effective and facilitates cooking roti, naan, dosa, and the likes without separate griddle or tawa. Also, the solution helps in saving money of people where the people does not require to purchase separate griddle and induction for cooking.

OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
[0006] Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one embodiment herein satisfies are as listed herein below.
[0007] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a cooking appliance which does not require buying griddle or tawa and induction separately.
[0008] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a cooking appliance that is cost effective and helps in saving money.
[0009] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a cooking appliance that has in built griddle, tawa, skillet and the likes with cooking source like induction.
[0010] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a cooking appliance that is easy to use, convenient to operate and has compact design.

SUMMARY
[0011] The present disclosure relates generally to field of electric appliance. More particularly, the present disclosure provides a cooking appliance with a foldable plate for cooking different food items.
[0012] An aspect of the present disclosure pertains a cooking appliance. The cooking appliance may include a panel configured with an outer surface and operatively coupled to one or more heating elements. The cooking appliance may include a foldable plate coupled to the panel, where the foldable plate may have a bottom surface, and where the bottom surface of the foldable plate may faces the outer surface of the panel. The foldable plate may be configured to move from a first pre-defined position to a second pre-defined position, and where the one or more heating elements may be configured to heat the foldable plate when the foldable plate is in second pre-defined position.
[0013] In an aspect, the first pre-defined position of the foldable plate may be below the panel and the second pre-defined position of the foldable plate may be above the panel, and where the foldable plate may be moved from the first pre-defined position to the second pre-defined position through at least one roller, where the at least one roller may be configured at a first pre-determined position of the foldable plate.
[0014] In an aspect, the cooking appliance may include at least one holder configured with the foldable plate, where the at least one holder may facilitate holding the foldable plate when the foldable plate is in the second pre-defined position.
[0015] In an aspect, the first pre-defined position may be a contracted position of the foldable plate and the second pre-defined position may be an extended position of the foldable plate, where the foldable plate may completely overlaps the panel during the second pre-defined position.
[0016] In an aspect, the foldable plate may be moved from the first pre-defined position to the second pre-defined position through one or more handles, where the one or more handles may be configured at a second pre-determined position of the foldable plate, and where upon exerting a pre-determined force on the one or more handles, the foldable plate may be configured to move between the contracted position and the extended position.
[0017] In an aspect, the cooking appliance may include a control panel configured with one or more actuators, where the one or more actuators may be configured on the outer surface of the panel, and where the control panel may facilitate controlling the heat associated with the one or more heating elements through the one or more actuators.

[0019] In an aspect, the first pre-defined position may pertain when the foldable plate is not in use, and where the second pre-defined position may pertain when the foldable plate is in use, and where the one or more heating elements may facilitate heating the foldable plate when the foldable plate may be in the second pre-defined position.

[0035] As illustrated in FIG. 1, the proposed cooking appliance (100) (also referred to as appliance (100), herein) can include a panel (102), a foldable plate (104), at least one roller (106), one or more handles (108), at least one holder (110) and a control panel (112). In an illustrative embodiment, the cooking appliance (100) can facilitate cooking food items like naan, roti, dosa, and the likes without placing griddle or tawa on cooking source like induction, but not limited to the likes.

In an illustrative embodiment, the one or more heating elements can be one or more induction coils but not limited to the likes. In another illustrative embodiment, the panel (102) can be a cook top, where cooking device like utensil, pan, griddle, and the likes can be placed for cooking.

In yet another illustrative embodiment, the control panel (112) can facilitate setting temperature limit and pre-determined time limit for cooking with help of the one or more actuators. The temperature limit and the pre-determined time limit for cooking can be different according to type of food items to be cooked.

Claims:1. A cooking appliance (100) comprising:
a panel (102) configured with an outer surface and operatively coupled to one or more heating elements, and
a foldable plate (104) coupled to the panel (102) , wherein the foldable plate (104) having a bottom surface, and wherein the bottom surface of the foldable plate (104) faces the outer surface of the panel (102),
wherein the foldable plate (104) is configured to move from a first pre-defined position to a second pre-defined position,
and wherein the one or more heating elements are configured to heat the foldable plate (104).
2. The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first pre-defined position of the foldable plate (104) is below the panel (102) and the second pre-defined position of the foldable plate (104) is above the panel (102), and wherein the foldable plate (104) is moved from the first pre-defined position to the second pre-defined position through at least one roller (106), wherein the at least one roller (106) is configured at a first pre-determined position of the foldable plate (104).

The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the cooking appliance (100) includes at least one holder (110) configured with the foldable plate (104), wherein the at least one holder (110) facilitates holding the foldable plate (104) when the foldable plate (104) is in the second pre-defined position.

The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first pre-defined position is a contracted position of the foldable plate (104) and the second pre-defined position is an extended position of the foldable plate (104), wherein the foldable plate (104) completely overlaps the panel (102) during the second pre-defined position.

The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 3, wherein the foldable plate (104) is moved from the first pre-defined position to the second pre-defined position through one or more handles (108), wherein the one or more handles (108) are configured at a second pre-determined position of the foldable plate (104), and wherein upon exerting a pre-determined force on the one or more handles (108), the foldable plate (104) is configured to move between the contracted position and the extended position.

The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cooking appliance (100) includes a control panel (112) configured with one or more actuators (202) , wherein the one or more actuators (202) are configured on the outer surface of the panel (102), and wherein the control panel (112) facilitates controlling the heat associated with the one or more heating elements through the one or more actuators (202).
7. The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 7, wherein the one or more actuators (202) include any or a combination of switch, relay, and button.

The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first pre-defined position pertains when the foldable plate (104) is not in use, and wherein the second pre-defined position pertains when the foldable plate (104) is in use, and wherein the one or more heating elements facilitate heating the foldable plate (104) when the foldable plate (104) is in the second pre-defined position.
9. The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the foldable plate (104) includes any or a combination of griddle, tawa, skillet, and pan.
10. The cooking appliance (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein material of the foldable plate (104) is selected from group including alloy, cast iron, black metal and iron.
