Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooking unit, said unit comprising of: a pan support (1); a burner (2); a drip tray (3); a glass (4); a mixing tube (5); a frame (6); a control panel (7); a control panel sticker (8); a knob (9); a side leg cover (10); pan support grommet (15); and gas valve assembly (16).
Field of the invention
The present invention relates to a cooktop incorporated with sliding spill trays. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cooktop provided by a bottom spill tray for collection of spills.
Background of the invention
The cooktop is an appliance employed in the kitchen for the purpose of cooking food. The process of cooking over a cooktop involves application of direct heat to the cooking utensil. Said appliance is connected to a LPG/PNG supply. Cooking gas is channeled through mixing tubes to a set of two or more burners that emits flame thereby generating appropriate amount of heat for cooking. The gas valves and fitted in the cooktop for controlling the flow of cooking gas thus ensuring a high, medium or low flame to suit various cooking styles.
Such a cooktop is disclosed in JP2002306327A. Said invention relates to a lid 10A for a vessel 30A is equipped with a circular lid face 11 with the outer diameter to cover a whole opening part of the vessel 30A, a short cylindrical flange part 12 dangled from the periphery part of the lid face 11 toward the backside by integrally forming with a resin with no hole, and positioning ribs 11f, 11f, etc., to form a steam passage in between the vessel 30A and the lid face 11, and the vessel 30A and the flange part 12. This tray 20A is equipped with a bottom face 21 and a side face 22 integrally formed with the PP resin hardly to be a high temperature in a microwave range and a ring shape rib 21a on the bottom face 21 to latch a bottom rim 33.
Such a cooktop is disclosed in US20120167778A1. Said invention relates to A combination food steamer and deep fryer cooking apparatus includes a vessel, a heat source, and first and second support structures. The vessel is configured to hold, at different times, associated water and associated cooking oil therein. The heat source is configured to heat the associated water within the vessel to a first selected temperature sufficient to boil the associated water held within the vessel. The heat source is further configured to heat the associated cooking oil within the vessel to a second selected temperature sufficient to deep fry associated food submerged in the associated cooking oil. The first support structure is separate from the second support structure and supports the associated food while submerged within the heated cooking oil which is contained within the vessel. The second support structure supports the associated food while being steamed by the boiling water.
The cooktops as described in the prior art comprises of sharp metal parts, heavy weight and open bodies thereby making the handling and use of the cooktop difficult for the user. Moreover, the existing cooktops do not have spill trays at the bottom thereby making the cleaning of the cooktops a difficult task for the user.
Objective of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to design a light-weight cooktop with an easily removable spill tray to collect spills.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to design a cooktop that is easy to clean.
The instant invention achieves the objective by designing a cooktop that involves a concept of removable spill tray at the bottom of said cooktop capable of catching and collecting spills.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention relates to a cooktop incorporated with sliding spill trays. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cooktop provided by a bottom spill tray for collection of spills.
According to the present invention, the frame of said cooktop comprises of polymers that are capable of reducing the weight of the cooktop and also prevents rusting.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cooktop comprises of the following key components:
1. Injection molded side panels
2. Spill tray
3. Knob panel
4. Glass top
5. Burner Assembly
6. Pan supports
7. Frame
According to another embodiment of the invention, the cooktop comprises of a glass top and the cooking utensils are placed directly on the glass top.
Brief Description of the drawings
