It generally relates to a self-assembled coordination polymer of formula I and a process for preparing said self-assembled coordination polymers. Further, the present disclosure provides a method of detecting quenchers such as high energy material(s), a metal containing salt(s), an electron deficient analyte(s) and combinations thereof. Furthermore, the present disclosure provides a sensor or sensor array for detection of high energy material(s) or a metal containing salt(s) or an electron deficient analyte(s) comprising a self-assembled coordination polymer.
