DESC:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to indirect lightening in the ceiling gypsum pop false and particularly relates to providing cove light effect. It also relates to module system with indirect lighting features.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Architectural spaces, such as rooms for example, are often illuminated by either natural light or by artificial light. It is known that illumination of a space can have an impact on how the space is perceived by person in or near the space. For instance, a room is typically perceived to be more spacious if its surfaces (such as walls and/or ceilings) are brightly illuminated. Spaces with well-illuminated walls and ceilings are also typically perceived to be more pleasant.
Current lighting solutions typically illuminate the ceiling of a space using cove lighting (e.g. lighting positioned in a ceiling cove or mounted high up on a wall close to the ceiling). However, the illumination from cove lighting can look un-natural or unpleasant, and the creation of visually attractive illumination from cove lighting can be expensive and/or challenging for non-experts. For example, the distance from the cove and the angle of incidence of light onto the illuminated ceiling can be important aspects for creating a desired intensity and/or uniformity of illumination. If the cove lighting system is poorly designed, it may cause glare and provide non-uniform illumination of a ceiling. It may also fail to provide the type or amount of light necessary to adequately illuminate the space.
As in present scenario, everyone wants to decorate their home by different lightning and execute these things at genuine price but cove light is not a cheap thing because for placing the cove light, false gypsum ceiling must be made then cove light can be done. There is no readymade system for cove light provision. Cove light provision is defined the providing cove light effect from the cove space (between outer and inner vertical of false ceiling structure) of false ceiling structure.
For providing cove light effect, an indirect fluorescent lighting fixture for recessed mounting in a grid-type ceiling, comprising an elongated dome having an actuate cross section and two elongated coves, each capable of holding at least one fluorescent light bulb. Each cove is mounted along a longitudinal edge of the dome. The inner face of the dome points in the downward direction and is capable of reflecting light. Each cove has an outer wall, a base and an inner wall. The outer wall of each cove is attached to an elongated edge of the dome. The base of each cove extends toward the center of the dome. The dome overlaps the opening in the ceiling grid so that the coves are hidden from view behind the ceiling panels on either side of the opening. Light from fluorescent light bulbs mounted in the coves is directed upward to the inner face of the dome where it is reflected down into the room. When the fixture is mounted recessed in a ceiling, the light bulbs in the coves and the ends of the dome are invisible to occupants of the room.
There exists a need to have a better solution for providing cove light effect which is cost effective and easy to install.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The present invention generally relates to indirect lightening in the ceiling gypsum pop false and particularly relates to providing cove light effect. It also relates to module system with indirect lighting features.
Figure 1 illustrates an exemplary diagram which is explained in prior arts. As in prior arts, the effect of cove light is made by placing the light in the gypsum POP (plaster of Paris) false ceiling. But this makes the entire process very lengthy and labor intensive for making false ceiling and also for cove lightning. Therefore readymade false ceiling with cove lightning fixture (that illustrates in figure 3b) is generated to overcome these factors.
Figure 2 illustrates different views of base module of the false ceiling with lightning fixtures. Figure 2a shows the ant eye’s view of the base module 502 and figure 2b shows the bird’s eye view of the base module 502. Ant’s eye view states that view from the floor and bird’s eye view states that view from the ceiling. In this present invention, false ceiling consists of two module i.e. base module 502 and face panel 508. The base module 502 is fixed to the ceiling. Rectangular pipe shaped structure 104 is fixed on the sides of the base module 502 ( wherein the base module 502 is also referred as bottom module). There are many holes present in the base module 502 which helps for joining the base module 502 to the ceiling through screws or nuts. For inner light source, any kind of LED (light emitting diode) is placed inside the base module 502 inner sides and for outer source, LED is placed on the upper side/near of rectangular pipe shaped structured 504.
Figure 3 illustrates schematic diagram of complete assembly of the false ceiling. Figure 3a shows an assembly of false ceiling before installation of face panel 508 with the bottom module and figure 3b shows the complete assembly of false ceiling after installation. There are two module in the false ceiling i.e. bottom module and face module. Bottom module is fixed to the ceiling and face panel 508 is fixed to the bottom module. Only face panel 508 is visible for human eye. face panel 508 is fixed to the bottom module by interlocking mechanism or by screw nut system. In interlocking mechanism, clamp helps to fix the face panel 508 to the bottom module.
In an embodiment, face panel 508 can be fixed to the bottom module with the help of screws, magnets or pin bush type springs. The main frame of the face panel 508 is visible to human eye. face panel 508 also gives the attractive false ceiling designing. The material of the modules can be PVC (poly vinyl chloride), wood, light metals, wax etc. All the materials are lighter in weight and high durability.
Figure 4 illustrates an exemplary implementation of the present invention. Figure 4 shows the false ceiling with the light fixture. The base module’s 502 sides being fixed to a surface (whether ceiling or wall) acts like “inner vertical” where as the face panel’s sides act like “outer verticals” (similar to inner and outer vertical of a pop or gypsum or wooden ceiling structure). The pipe kind of folded structure 504 which creates gap between outer vertical and inner vertical facilitates the placement of light source to give cove light effect. The height of outer vertical and placement of light source is done in such a way that the light bulb source is hidden behind outer vertical whereas one can clearly see the light rays coming out of it. Some portion of inner vertical is visible. All the wire and connectors are placed in the gap between the modules and all wire passes to the main wire through the hole that present in the bottom module. There are other holes present that used for fixing the bottom module to the ceiling. This overall structure, positioning and size of outer vertical, inner vertical and light source in between gaps which gives similar kind of effect that gets from traditional false ceiling (pop or gypsum or wooden or PVC or metal or other material).
In an embodiment, one central hole 510 in the modules can be made for the other light source.
Figure 5 illustrates a block diagram of a cove lightning system in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The system 500, includes a base module 502 configured to be mounted on a surface using screws or nuts through plurality of holes fabricated on the base module 502. The structure of the base module 502 is selected from but not limited to rectangular, square, circular and the like.
In an embodiment, a rectangular pipe shaped structure 504 is attached to a perimeter of the base module 502. The rectangular shaped structure 504 provides a gap between the base module 502 and a face panel 508.
In an embodiment, a pair of arrays of light emitting diodes 506 are placed to an inner side of the base module 502 for inner light source and outer side of the base module 502 nearby the rectangular pipe shaped structure 504 for outer source of light.
In an embodiment, a face panel 508 is affixed parallelly to the base module 502 by interlocking mechanism or by screw and nut to give an attractive false ceiling designing.
In an embodiment, the interlocking mechanism consist clamp to fix the face panel 508 to the bottom module whereas screws, magnets or pin bush type springs is also used to fix the face panel 508.
In an embodiment, material selected for the modules and panels are of light weight and high durability are PVC (poly vinyl chloride), wood, light metals and wax.
In an embodiment, sides of base module 502 fixed to the surface (whether ceiling or wall) creates inner vertical whereas sides of face panel 508 creates outer verticals.
In an embodiment, the rectangular pipe shaped structure 504 creates gap between outer vertical and inner vertical to facilitate placement of light source to develop cove light effect.
In an embodiment, height of outer vertical and placement of light source is done in such that a light bulb source is hidden behind the outer vertical whereas one can clearly see the light rays coming out of the outer vertical. In an embodiment, the system further includes a central hole 510 fabricated on the bottom module for other light source.
Figure 6 illustrates a flow chart of a method for positioning cove light system in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. At step 602, the method 600 includes mounting a base module 502 on a surface using screws or nuts through plurality of holes fabricated on the base module 502. At step 604, the method 600 includes attaching a rectangular pipe shaped structure 504 to a perimeter of the base module 502. At step 606, the method 600 includes placing a pair of arrays of light emitting diodes 506 to an inner side of the base module 502 for inner light source and outer side of the base module 502 nearby the rectangular pipe shaped structure 504 for outer source of light. At step 608, the method 600 includes affixing a face panel 508 parallelly to the base module 502 by interlocking mechanism or by screw and nut to give an attractive false ceiling designing.
In an embodiment, the inner source of light promotes glowing of the face panel 508 by providing light to an inner side of the face panel 508 to give an attractive false ceiling designing.
In an embodiment, the outer source of light encourages artificial lightning to a room or inside a hall.
