Abstract: Given description discloses a protective cover for CVT air outlet such that entry of foreign particles due to centrifugal suction pressure in CVT can be avoided. A grill cover is disclosed for an air outlet of the CVT cover that forms a mesh kind structure in front of air outlet. This grill cover facilitates normal outlet for air thus cooling of CVT is not affected as well as said grill cover prevents entry of foreign particles because of its mesh kind structure. Provided grill cover can be fixed into the slot provided for air outlet in CVT cover by different fixing mechanisms.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to the cover of continuously variable transmission assembly of scooter type vehicle and more particularly to the air outlet passage of the cover (hereinafter CVT cover) of said continuously variable transmission assembly (hereinafter CVT assembly) of said scooter type vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally in scooter type vehicles CVT assembly is covered with a CVT cover which facilitates flow of cooling air through CVT assembly and also protects it from exposure of foreign elements like dust, pebbles etc."
Normally, said CVT cover has air inlet at its front end and air outlet at its rear end to maintain proper circulation of air through CVT assembly for cooling the belt. Air outlet of CVT cover is susceptible to entry of small foreign particles due to centrifugal suction pressure created inside CVT cover due to the continuous running of CVT assembly.
Said outlet is very cióse to rear wheel and during movement of scooter small stones, pebbles dust particles etc. shattered by rear wheel might enter CVT assembly through said air outlet due to centrifugal suction pressure created inside CVT cover.
Due to mentioned foreign particles different parts of CVT assembly like belt, clutch etc might get damaged & thus to reduce such damage issues of CVT assembly a solution for the above-mentioned issues is required.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Main objective of present invention is to provide a protective cover for CVT cover outlet such that entry of foreign partióles due to centrifugal suction pressure in CVT can be avoided. Present invention provides grill cover for air outlet of the CVT cover that forms a mesh kind structure in front of air outlet.
This grill cover facilitates normal outlet for air thus cooling of CVT is not affected as well as said grill cover prevenís entry of foreign partióles because of its mesh kind sírucíure.
Provided grill cover can be fixed into the sloí provided for air outlet in CVT cover by different fixing mechanisms. Fixing mechanisms like snap fit, fastening means or the combination of different fixing mechanisms can be used. The grill is fitted inside the air oullet slot through provided engaging hooks and is fixed with fastening means e.g. screws at provided mounting space.

Figure 1 is showing a scooter type vehicle depicting different embodiments related to claimed invention.
Figure 2 and Figure 3 are depicting the essential embodiments and mounting arrangements for enablement of the claimed grill cover.
Figure 4 and Figure 5 are showing structural details of claimed grill cover for the CVT cover outlet.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that best enabling arrangements of the invention can be explained through all possible embodiments and examples of it. The invention may have application to all kind of vehicles.
Figure 1 to Figure 5 are depicting different embodiments and enabling arrangement of the invention are described. Referring to Figure 1, in scooter 100, transmission cover/ CVT cover 102 is forming a closed housing for CVT assembly. Said CVT cover 102 has an air inlet (not shown in figure(s)) in its front side and an air outlet 103 at its rear side.
Referring back to Figure 2, Figure 3 and Figure 4, air outlet 103 on rear side of the CVT cover 102 is provided with a protective cover 104 for CVT cover 102. This protective cover 104 restrains entry of foreign particles due to centrifugal suction pressure created in CVT housing due to movement of different parts of CVT assembly.
Further, referring to Figure 3 to Figure 5, said protective cover 104 is a grill type cover (hereinafter grill cover 104) for air outlet 103 of the CVT cover 104 which forms a mesh kind structure in front of the air outlet 103.
This grill cover 104 facilitates normal outlet for air thus cooling of CVT is not affected as well as said grill cover 104 prevents entry of foreign particles because of its mesh kind structure.
Referring back to Figure 3 to Figure 5, said grill cover 104 has múltiple grill plates 109 forming outlet passages 109a for air coming out of CVT housing such that flow of air does not get interrupted due to grill cover 104 and cooling efficiency can be maintained. These grill plates 109 are forming the inclined passage in the air outlet such that grill plates 109 are extending downwards toward the outermost surface of the CVT outlet.
Provided grill cover 104 can be fixed into the slot provided for air outlet 103 in CVT cover 102 by different fixing mechanisms. The grill cover 104 is fitted inside the slot of air outlet 103 through provided engaging hooks 105, 106 and is fixed with screws at provided mounting space for fastening means 107,107a, 108.
Said engaging hooks 105, 106 are inserted inside slot of air outlet 103 such that said hooks 105, 106 are engaged/ fixed with its inner wall. Above mentioned screw is tightened to the CVT cover 102, through fastening means such that screw passes through the fastening slot 107, the socket 107a. This arrangement holds grill cover 104 fixed with the CVT cover 102 as fastening surface 108 is engaged with the fastening slot 107 and socket 107a through said screw.
Use of combination of above mounting mechanisms 105, 106/ 107a, 107, and 108 is best suited for above mentioned grill cover 104. Due to use of both mechanisms together support for grill cover 104 is less likely to fail. In case of failure of engaging hooks 105, 106 fastening mechanism 107,108 can support grill cover 104 and vice versa.
WHAT IS CLAIMED IS:
1) A cover for a continuous variable transmission assembly of a scooter type vehicle comprising an air outlet on rear end of the said cover, characterized in that a protective cover is housed inside the air outlet comprising a grill structure with at-least one grill píate such that said grill píate forms an inclined outlet passage in the air outlet configured to block inward flow of atmospheric air due to suction inside the continuous variable transmission assembly.
2) The cover, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the grill plates are forming a mesh like structure.
3) The cover, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the grill plates are forming the inclined passage in the air outlet such that grill plates are extending downwards toward the outermost surface of the CVT outlet.

5) The cover, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rear end of the cover is defined by the rear end of the motorcycle towards the rear wheel.
