COVER FOR SCOOTER
Field Of Invention
The present invention relates to "Cover for Scooter" and more particularly for a two wheeled scooter type motorcycle
Background of the invention:
A scooter as is generally understood is typically a two wheeled vehicle with a front free rolling, steerable wheel and a rear free rolling, non-steerable wheel connected to each other by the step thru space allowing the rider to keep the feet over the step thru space and allow easy step up or step down off the vehicle. Primarily this type of construction is required to facilitate the fitment of smaller wheels generally associated with step thru scooter. In such type of scooter type vehicle front mudguard is provided to prevent mud splashing on to the nearby parts. Additionally the scooters are covered with front panel, front rear panel, floorboard, side panels etc. to cover the frame members so as to give the overall aesthetic appearance. These panels/covers are individually injection molded parts and are connected to each other and to the frame members by known means. Since many parts are involved, the fitment of these parts to the mating parts and frame members are likely to result in poor fit and finish causing vibration and rattling noise. Assembly of so many such loose parts in the production conveyor line results in low productivity.
Hence the objective of the present invention is to overcome the above problem associated with loose covers and panels.
Summary of Invention :
According to the invention, a body structure cover for a scooter type motorcycle comprising: a single sheet element configured to cover a significant portion of the scooter type motorcycle, the sheet element further comprising: plurality of portions on single body structure sheet element , circumferentially fused to each other, each portion has an outline with a substantially polygonal arc; one piece sheet element of the body structure configured to partially cover a front wheel, Frame, Wheel assembly, wiring harness, upper bracket, throttle positioning sensor, engine cowling and a plurality of adjacent frame elements, said sheet element also includes a front fender portion located at the front of the single sheet element and extending in a front-to-rear direction of the vehicle, the fitting sheet element further acts as a floor board and capable of being used as an feet rest.

Detail description of the invention :
As present invention closely pertain to a scooter type motorcycle, therefore the scooter type motorcycle is described for coherent extrapolation of the invention and its operative and constructive potential.
Figure 1 displays a scooter type motorcycle(921) typically a two wheeled vehicle with a front wheel free rolling, steerable wheel(931) connected to the steering handle(971) via a telescopic fork (991) and a rear free rolling, non-steerable wheel(941) connected to each other by the floor board portion (301) (step thru space). The rear free rolling, non-steerable wheel (941) is connected to the seat assembly through the shock absorber (961) and frame (not shown) onto which the engine (not shown) is mounted.. Figure 1 further exhibit the single piece body structure cover (101) mounted on the said scooter type motorcycle by known means. Figure 1 elucidates the positioning and final fitment of the one piece body structure on the scooter type motorcycle. Thereby the aforementioned figure demonstrate that the present invention is capable of being utilized as a floor board , front fender, an enabler for other similar body cover part on the scooter type motorcycle and cover significant portion of scooter type motorcycle through its single sheet element.
Figure 2 substantiates various portion of the single piece body structure cover (101). Further the figure establishes the visible polygonal arcs engulfing the fused shaped portions of single body structure. Front fender portion (201) positioned at the front of one piece single element doling inward to rear to form symmetrical polygonal arc (701) on both the sides of the said fender portion , polygonal arc (701) circumferentially compounding with another polygonal arc (401) to form lateral cover portion (351) on the either sides of the said scooter type motorcycle. Lateral cover portion (351) is extended towards the rear of scooter type of vehicle to form side panel portion (501) on both side of the one piece body structure. (101).
Further Figure 2 displays the floor board portion (301) blended in one piece sheet element through upper contoured line (551) on the either side of the floor board. Floor board portion is positioned in the abscissal plane ending in polygonal arc (651) of V shape profile extending obliquely upwards to form engine cowling portion (601). Engine cowling portion (601) is provided with flanged portion along the entire length. The flanged portion provided along the entire length except the raised V shaped portion is provided with slanted wall to form a positive draft angle to facilitate easy withdrawal of the single body structure from the mounting.as shown in Figure 3 (Section B) by known moulding means.
Figure 3 depicts the top view of the said body structure cover (101) for demonstrating the stiffness and the visible pattern on the floor board (301) and further the Figure 3 lays out two essential sectional views for the appropriate of the structure and elucidating the draft angle as shown Section B exposition drawing of the single piece body structure.
The said body cover structure (101) typically made of resin by moulding process is provided with adequate number holes to fasten with the mating parts and to the frame structure thru' known means.
The invention being thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the claims
