6. (Currently amended) A crankcase assembly (100) for an engine (300), said crankcase assembly (100) comprising:
a baffle plate (104); and
a crankcase (102) comprising at least one first side wall (102a); a plurality of second side wall (102b), wherein each of said second side wall (102b) are connected to said first side wall (102a) and constitute to form a rectangular frame, wherein each of said second side wall (102b) are transverse to said first side wall (102a) and said second side walls
(102b) are parallel to each other; a plurality of first ribs (102c) adapted to support said baffle plate (104), wherein said plurality of first ribs (102c) are provided on each of said plurality of second side walls (102b); a plurality of second ribs (102d) provided on each of said second side wall (102b) and adapted to provide stiffness to said crankcase (102); and a plurality of cross members (102e) adapted to provide stiffness to said crankcase (102),wherein said first ribs and said second ribs are provided on each of said second side walls; and each of said plurality of cross members said plurality of cross members (102e) are provided between said first ribs (102c) on one of said second side walls (102b) and the corresponding said first ribs (102c) on the corresponding said second side wall (102b) and each of said plurality of cross members (102e) are transverse to each of said second side wall (102b), wherein each of said cross member (102e) defines a ladder like structure, wherein
said baffle plate (104) is adapted to provide stiffness to said crankcase (102).
7. (Currently amended) The crankcase assembly (100) as claimed in claim 6, wherein said crankcase (102) further comprises a first mount (102f) adapted to mount an oil pump.
8. (Currently amended) The crankcase assembly (100) as claimed in claim 6, wherein said crankcase (102) further comprises a second mount (102g) adapted to mount an air conditioning compressor.
9. (Currently amended) The crankcase assembly (100) as claimed in claim 6, wherein said crankcase (102) further comprises a third mount (102f) adapted to mount an oil filter.
10. (Currently amended) The crankcase assembly (100) as claimed in claim 6, wherein each of said plurality of second ribs (102d) of said crankcase (102) comprises an opening adapted to vent blow by gases.

1. A crankcase assembly (100) for an engine (300), said crankcase assembly (100) comprising:
a baffle plate (104); and
a crankcase (102) comprising at least one first side wall (102a); a plurality of second side wall (102b), wherein each of said second side wall (102b) are connected to said first side wall (102a) and constitute to form a rectangular frame, wherein each of said second side wall (102b) are transverse to said first side wall (102a) and said second side walls (102b) are parallel to each other; a plurality of first ribs (102c) adapted to support said baffle plate (104), wherein said plurality of first ribs (102c) are provided on each of said plurality of second side walls (102b); a plurality of second ribs (102d) are provided on each of said second side wall (102b) and adapted to provide stiffness to said
crankcase (102); and a plurality of cross members (102e) adapted to provide stiffness to said crankcase (102), wherein said plurality of cross members (102e) are provided between said first ribs (102c) on one of said second side walls (102b) and the corresponding said first ribs (102c) on the corresponding said second side wall (102b) and each of said plurality of cross members (102e) are transverse to each of said second side wall (102b), wherein each of said cross member (102e) defines a ladder like structure, wherein
said baffle plate (104) is adapted to provide stiffness to said crankcase (102).
2. The crankcase assembly (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said crankcase (102) further comprises a first mount (102f) adapted to mount an oil pump.
