Abstract: A system and method for automatic retrieval of the information related to any topic in a syllabus using artificial intelligence system is disclosed. The system comprises of a software application in connection with a database containing all the study material including the text books of various authors, guide books, and many more. The system uses the voice detection and virtual assistant feature of the artificial intelligence technology where the users can provide the query to the system, and the software application searches for the keywords provided in the query to retrieve all the results and creates a list of all possible results. Once the list is created, the list is displayed in the application for the user to study further.
Claims:We Claim:
1. A system for automatic retrieval of the information related to any topic in a syllabus comprising:
a. a software application with voice detection and virtual assistant;
b. an electronic device such as smartphone in which the software application has to be installed; and
c. a database containing all the books related to a subject;
wherein, the software application is installed in the electronic device and with the help of the voice detection, the query is receive and the virtual assistant searches for the related information from the database and the list of results are displayed to the user.
2. A system as claimed in claim 1 wherein, the database contains all the study material including the text books of various authors, guide books, and many more in digital format.
3. A system as claimed in claim 1 wherein, the electronic device can be a smart device such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop etc.,
4. A system as claimed in claim 1 wherein, the software application is powered with artificial intelligence technology having voice detection and virtual assistant feature, which is used to receive the query and information retrieval respectively.
5. The method used in information retrieval comprising:
a. Installation of the software application in the electronic device;
b. Registration of the user with the software application;
c. a query is given to the software application by the user through a voice command;
d. detection of the voice command by voice detection feature;
e. conversion of the voice command to text format;
f. searching the provided keyword in the text format in the database by the virtual assistant feature of the software application;
g. information retrieval and result list creation;
h. displaying the created list in the application for further reference of the user;
i. saving the query in the application.
, Description:Technical field of the Invention
The present invention generally relates to the systems and methods used to manage the data of related to the syllabus of a particular class. More particularly, the present invention is related to the use of artificial intelligence in creation and management of the data related to the syllabus of a particular class.
Background of the Invention
A syllabus is an academic document that communicates information about a specific course and defines expectations and responsibilities. It is descriptive unlike the prescriptive or specific curriculum and can be set out by an exam board or prepared by the professor who supervises or controls course qualities.
The primary purpose behind setting a syllabus is to ensure a fair and impartial understanding between the teacher and students such that there is minimal confusion on policies relating to the course, setting clear expectations of material to be learned, behaviour in the classroom, and effort on student's behalf to be put into the course, providing a roadmap of course organization/direction relaying the instructor's teaching philosophy to the students, and providing a marketing angle of the course such that students may choose early in the course whether the subject material is attractive.
Many generalized items of a syllabus can be amplified in a specific curriculum to maximize efficient learning by clarifying student understanding of specified material such as grading policy, grading rubric, late work policy, locations and times, other contact information for instructor and teaching assistant such as phone or email, materials required and/or recommended such as textbooks, assigned reading books, calculators, lab vouchers, etc., outside resources for subject material assistance (extracurricular books, tutor locations, resource centers, etc.), important dates in course such as exams and paper due-dates, tips for succeeding in mastering course content such as study habits and expected time allotment, suggested problems if applicable, necessary pre-requisites or co-requisites to current course, safety rules if appropriate, and objectives of the course.
In current system, teaching provided by the teachers at the educational institutions are not enough to provide all the related information about a particular subject, due to which the students opt for extra classes and private tuitions to learn all possible information related to the topics included in the syllabus. There are various textbooks, guide books and so forth available, which aim at providing the extra information related to the topics covered in the syllabus.
In order to cover all the information, the students would have to go through multiple textbooks, guide books, and other books and extract the related information and then learn them. The students would have to maintain a lot of notes by keeping all the related information about a topic at a same place, which makes the process tedious.
As all the learning has become digital nowadays, the information can be maintained in electronic format. But the issue with this system is that all the books are not available digitally and some has to be maintained on paper. This again adds more work to the students and the maintenance of the data is difficult.
Thus there is a need for a system wherein, all the books are stored in the database of a software application, from where the students and retrieve information related to any topic all together, and the query can be saved from where the student can refer the notes from all possible text books and guide books, which reduces the task of searching for information in the books.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention provides a system and method for automatic retrieval of the information related to any topic in a syllabus using artificial intelligence system. The components of the present invention includes a software application in connection with a database containing all the study material including the text books of various authors, guide books, and many more.
The system of the present invention uses the voice detection and virtual assistant feature of the artificial intelligence technology for achieving the results. With the help of the voice detection feature, the users i.e. students can provide the query to the system, and the software application searches for the keywords provided in the query to retrieve all the results and creates a list of all possible results. Once the list is created, the list id displayed in the application for the user to study further. Once the query is provided to the system and the list of all the results is created, then the query along with the results is saved in the application, for future reference.
According to the present invention, the study material present all possible text books, guide books, research papers, and so forth are uploaded in the software application, and all the study material can even separately accessed by the users. As many text books and guide books are expensive and are not affordable by everyone, the present invention provides an inexpensive alternative.

The components of the present invention includes, an electronic device preferably a smart device such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop etc., a software application powered with artificial intelligence technology having voice detection and virtual assistant feature, and a database containing the digital version of all the possible books related to a particular term of a student. Alternatively, the database contains the books of the syllabus of all the terms starting from class 5 to class 12 in both state, CBSC and ICSC syllabus.
The system of the present invention uses the voice detection and virtual assistant feature of the artificial intelligence technology for achieving the results. With the help of the voice detection feature, the users i.e. students can provide the query to the system, and the software application searches for the keywords provided in the query to retrieve all the results and creates a list of all possible results. Once the list is created, the list id displayed in the application for the user to study further. Once the query is provided to the system and the list of all the results is created, then the query along with the results is saved in the application, for future reference.
According to the present invention, the study material present all possible text books, guide books, research papers, and so forth are present in the database associated with the software application, and all the study material i.e. books can even separately accessed by the users for their reference. The present invention can be better understood with the help of examples:
If the user i.e. a student studying in primary school, wants to learn about a particular topic in geometry i.e. “circle”, then the user will provide the query to the software application through an audio. The voice detection feature of the software application detects the voice, and converts it into text form and searches for the keyword “circle” in the database. The software application searches all the books which are present in the database and lists the sections in the books which describes the circle along with the page number and direct link. The user can go through all the listed study material for reference. The query related to circle is saved in the database and can be deleted by the user if no longer required.
