Crust Leather Upgrade

Abstract: Aqueous composition comprising expanded and expandable microspheres, polymeric binder and optionally other additives, and method of repairing and finishing defective crust leathers comprising: A) repairing the defective crust leathers by i) applying on the crusts a layer of the aqueous composition comprising expanded and expandable microspheres, polymeric binder and optionally other additives; ii) drying the layer and expanding the expandable microspheres; B) finishing the leathers obtained from step ii) without mechanically abrading their surface.
