Specification

The existing function generator does not support high current drive load. The available
interface modules are very generalized and could be use for different application. Such
type of high current drive function generator or interface module are very high cost. Our
invented current booster Interface device is low cost designed circuit which can
integrated any arbitrary function generator & able to drive high current load.
As one of the application of this invented current booster interface device is used to
drive the mirror of IR Optical modulator left & right side to its optic axis. Inventor
understand the requirement of IR modulator testing and design a simple power
transistor based current booster interface circuit & integrate in cascading arrangement
with the function generator to provide sufficient I/P power to Modulator to deviate its
mirror so that sine wave shape come as per testing document requirement.
SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
In accordance with one aspect of present invention the interface device is simple
& easy to repair.
In accordance with second aspect of present invention, the interface device cost
is low which is able to fulfill the requirement of high cost specific type of function
generator.
In accordance with another aspect of invention, this interface device optimizes
use of existing resources.
The said device is not only useful for specific article Modulator Testing but also
the same arrangement can be use to test any other electronic article where we need
high current requirement by general function generator.
The said device has calibration test point which is used for calibration purposes.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The use of the current booster interface circuit in one of the application in IR
Channel Optical Modulator, which is responsible to lock on the enemy target in small
vision field by IR detection by its mirror oscillation at different frequency on different
deviation angle on both sides. During testing of Modulator, shop operator face the
problem to trip-off of the function generator when modulator mirror deviate more then
±1° from its optic axis. Mirror is glued on rectangular metallic frame & its assembly has
electromagnetic arrangement for deviation & spring arrangement at two end to return
back the mirror to its NULL position after deviation. But the standard function generator
not able to produce that much voltage with sufficient current which able to turn the
mirror left & right from its optic axis. The spring action of the assembly restricts the
motion & supply from function generator not able to overcome it.
The said interface device act a bridge between Modulator & Function generator
which raise the output current of function generator up to the required value so that
mirror deviate more then ±1° from its optic axis.
The said circuit is the basic design as per current requirement for the deviation of
mirror of modulator. Figure 1 is the block diagram for connection of Interface Circuit.
The Output of Signal Generator input to interface circuit which amplify the current as per
requirement of Mirror deviation through its testing panel.

Accordingly, the description of the present invention is to be considered as illustrative only and is for the purpose of teaching those skilled in the art of the best mode of carrying out the invention. The details may be varied substantially without departing from the spirit of the invention, and exclusive use of all modifications which are within the scope of the appended claims is reserved. We Claim

1. The interface device, comprising
- A box fitted with a cluster of electronic components and has input & output interface,
- Looms & Cables to connect standard function generator & Unit Under test.
2. The system according to claim 1, capable of interfacing with standard function generator without damaging and specifically enhancing the current capacity of signal generated.
3. The system according to claim 1, works without use of any cooling arrangement for indefinite time period.
4. The system according to claim 1, is a cost effective and handy solution.
5. The system according to calim1 is portable, act as a patch for atleast one standard generator equipment.
6. The system according to claim 1, facilitates user to easy calibrate the said device.
