A cleansing article, comprising :a. a closable receptacle formed of a porous material;b. a plurality of solid or semi-solid bars held in thereceptacle including a first bar having a cleansingcomposition and a second bar having secondcomposition selected from an aesthetic composition, askin benefit composition or a combined aesthetic andbenefit composition; wherein the cleansing and secondcomposition differ from each other; andc. wherein the cleansing composition contains asurfactant selected from a synthetic anionicsurfactant, a soap, or a blend thereof in aconcentration greater than about 5% by wt. and thesecond composition contains an aesthetic ingredient,a skin benefit ingredient and a blend thereof; theaesthetic or benefit ingredient being present in aconcentration that is greater than the concentrationof the same ingredient in the cleansing composition.
