Abstract: A cylindrical secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly; a battery housing that accommodates the electrode assembly through an open portion and is electrically connected to the electrode assembly; a battery terminal that penetrates a closed portion of the battery housing and is electrically connected to the electrode assembly; and a cap plate configured to cover the open portion, wherein the first electrode of the electrode assembly includes at least one insulation layer configured to simultaneously cover at least a portion of a first non-coated portion and at least a portion of a first coated portion, and at least a portion of the first non-coated portion itself is used as an electrode tab.
