Abstract: A system and method to manage the used vehicle data is disclosed, which is used to help provide a potential buyer with a quick access with all the related information about various used vehicles along with the comparison data. A system for automated vehicle analysis, where a template is provided which has to be filled with all the relevant details related to the vehicle which can include vehicle number, date of registration, engine number, accident information, replaced parts information, insurance information, owner information and so forth which is used to estimate the exact selling price of the vehicle. The potential buyers can view the vehicle data provided by the seller and can proceed for selection of the vehicle.
Claims:We Claim:
1. The system for vehicle data management, comprising: various templates for saving the used vehicle data belonging to a user, wherein the system also performs automated vehicle analysis to calculate the vehicle selling information at the present state of the vehicle.
2. The method for automatic calculation of vehicle selling information, comprising:
a. selecting a template to provide vehicle data including vehicle number, date of registration, engine number, accident information, replaced parts information, insurance information, owner information and so forth;
b. automatic calculation of the vehicle selling information based on the state of vehicle; and
c. updating the information in the user’s account in the website.
3. The method for used vehicle data management, comprising:
a. selection of various templates specific to types of vehicles such as two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers and so forth;
b. providing the vehicle registration number by the user;
c. automatic retrieval of the vehicle related information including the date of registration, the engine number, the vehicle make, and features and so forth, which are auto-filled in the selected template;
d. manual filling of the vehicle and owner related information, insurance, accident, part replacement information by the user; and
e. saving the template in the user’s account in the website securely.
, Description:Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to the vehicle analysis systems, and more particularly to the analysis of used vehicles which are ranked and rated.
Background of the Invention
Buying a car can often be a difficult proposition. It is typically one of the more expensive purchases that people make. There are many different vehicles available, each having slightly different features, and prospective purchasers have numerous factors to take into account. This is the reason why people opt for used vehicles where they can get the vehicles in good condition at comparatively lower price, which they can afford.
There are few standards available to determine the quality of used vehicles and to determine whether the price is reasonable. It is therefore often difficult to accurately compare different used vehicles, both between two or more vehicles having similar or identical make, model, and year as well as among all used vehicles. There are several online applications which are developed that enable the users to compare the value of various used vehicles which they can access before decide to buy a vehicle which can be a bike, car, auto, truck and so forth, which can save a lot of money. But in this fast growing world, the technology keeps changing in rapid pace, where the old technologies are no longer used.
Such condition leads to variation in pricing of the vehicles which has to be updated time to time. But in some cases, because the condition of the vehicle is often estimated and specific occurrences in the life of a given vehicle are not taken into account, it can lead to incorrect pricing, which can be a loss to either the buyer or the seller.
Therefore there is a need for a used vehicle data management system which can be accessible through any electronic device that can provide accurate vehicle history of all the used vehicles which are recorded in the system, which provides a report for each vehicle which can be used to get accurate pricing of the vehicle.
There is a need for a system which collects all the data about a specific vehicle, providing an overall picture of what the state of vehicle is. Manual comparison of multiple vehicle history reports can be a time-consuming process, thus there is a need for a method where automatic vehicle comparison can be achieved reducing the time and effort required for the same, which can help the buyers to make their selection easily.
Objects of the Invention
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a system to manage the personal vehicle data of a user.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a method to calculate the selling price of a used vehicle based on various criteria.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a system where all the data related to the vehicles of the user can be saved in the user’s account in a website.
Other objects and benefits of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to bind the scope of the present invention.
Summary of the Invention
A system and method to manage the used vehicle data is disclosed, which is used to help provide a potential buyer with a quick access with all the related information about various used vehicles along with the comparison data. The automatic comparison data of multiple vehicles are displayed at a single location, which makes it easier for the users to compare the vehicle and opt for a suitable one.
The present disclosure provides a system for automated vehicle analysis, where a template is provided which has to be filled with all the relevant details related to the vehicle which can include vehicle number, date of registration, engine number, accident information, replaced parts information, insurance information, owner information and so forth which is used to estimate the exact selling price of the vehicle. The potential buyers can view the vehicle data provided by the seller and can proceed for selection of the vehicle.
According to the present invention, the vehicle rate provides a relative ranking of a specific vehicle versus other used vehicles of the same make, model, and/or year, and based on the current vehicle condition. In another embodiment, the vehicle rate provides an accurate selling price of the vehicle. Based on the time the vehicle is in use, along with the vehicle condition till it was first sold to the present day is used for calculation of selling price.
One aspect of the present disclosure provides the process of management of used vehicle data, including electronically receiving a vehicle identification from a user; automatic filling of the vehicle information based on the vehicle number or manual filling of the data by the user; retrieving a set of vehicle records from at least one data source; identifying a set of vehicle factors from the linked vehicle records based on the type of vehicle; providing definite values by the user; combining the values provided by the user to calculate the selling price; and saving all the entered information in the website for display to other users.
Another aspect of the disclosure provides a system where a user can save all the data related to all the vehicles which the user owns. The data is securely saved in the website which is maintained securely. All the used vehicles which the user wishes to sell, can be selected by the user, and only those vehicle information is displayed to the third parties, who can choose to buy the used vehicles.
For purposes of summarizing this disclosure, certain aspects, advantages and novel features of the disclosure have been described herein. Of course, it is to be understood that not necessarily all such aspects, advantages or features will be embodied in any particular embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG 1 discloses the process of used vehicle data creation and automatic calculation of vehicle selling information. With reference to FIG 1, a system for used vehicle data management which performs automated vehicle analysis is disclosed, where a template is provided which has to be filled with all the relevant details related to the vehicle which can include vehicle number, date of registration, engine number, accident information, replaced parts information, insurance information, owner information and so forth which is used to estimate the exact selling price of the vehicle. The potential buyers can view the vehicle data provided by the seller and can proceed for selection of the vehicle.
According to the present invention, the system comprises of various templates which are specific to different types of vehicles such as two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers and so forth. The user would have to select the template based on the vehicle they own, and the vehicle registration number has to be provided. The system which is in connection with the regional transport offices, automatically retrieves the vehicle related information which can include the date of registration, the engine number, the vehicle make, and features and so forth, which are auto-filled in the selected template. The other sections which are unfilled has to be manually filled by the user which can include the insurance information, owner name and contact information, accident related information of the vehicle, the vehicle original parts which have been replaced, and so forth. Once all the details are entered in the template, then the template is saved in the website, which maintains the information securely. With the help of the system, the vehicle selling price and relative ranking of a specific vehicle versus other used vehicles of the same make, model, and/or year, and based on the current vehicle condition can be calculated. This enables to provide accurate selling price of the vehicle. The time from which the vehicle is in use, along with the vehicle condition at the present day is used for calculation of vehicle selling price.
Another embodiment of the present invention discloses the process of used vehicle data management through the website. The process of management of used vehicle data includes template selection based on the type of vehicle the user owns; filling data related to the vehicle and the owner; automatic calculation of the vehicle selling information; saving the data related to vehicle in the user’s account; and similarly saving all the user’s vehicle related information in the user’s account.
According to the present invention, the method includes electronically receiving a vehicle identification from a user; automatic filling of the vehicle information based on the vehicle number or manual filling of the data by the user; retrieving a set of vehicle records from at least one data source; identifying a set of vehicle factors from the linked vehicle records based on the type of vehicle; providing definite values by the user; combining the values provided by the user to calculate the selling price; and saving all the entered information in the website for display to other users.

Example 1:
A vehicle selling price for a five year old vehicle can be calculated based on the make, year of registration, number of parts which are replaced, number of accidents the vehicle was into and the life span of the vehicle till the present day. The system can be set up for projecting the approximate selling price of the vehicle for next 5 years, ten years or so on.
