DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS

[0019] Before the present configuration of desert air cooler with detachable and interchangeable water tank is described, it is to be understood that this disclosure is not limited to the particular assembly or configuration or arrangement for achieving so, as described, since it may vary within the specification indicated. It is also to be understood that the terminology used in the description is for the purpose of describing the particular versions or embodiments only, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, which will be limited only by the appended claims.
[0020] The words "comprising," "having," "containing," and "including," and other forms thereof, are intended to be equivalent in meaning and be open ended in that an item or items following any one of these words is not meant to be an exhaustive listing of such item or items, or meant to be limited to only the listed item or items. The disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary methods of the invention, which may be embodied in various forms.
[0021] The principles of the present invention may be best illustrated by reference to drawings in detail, which illustrates a desert air cooler or a desert air cooler with a detachable and interchangeable water tank. Broadly, as show in front, side and isometric views of Figs. 1(a), 1(b) and 1(c) respectively, the desert air cooler generally represented by numeral 50 comprises a pump referenced by numeral 10 and water tank referenced by numeral 20.Precisely, the pump 10 is flexible and foldable pump 10(depicted in fig. 3(b)),which facilitates the desert air cooler 50 to stand upright on an even surface, especially when the water tank 20 is detached and placed on the top of the desert air cooler 50 i.e. when the desert air cooler is not in use, as will be explained in later sections.
[0022] In one exemplary embodiment, the foldable and flexible pump 10is adapted to facilitate suction of water into the desert air cooler 50. Accordingly, the pump 10 is placed at the bottom surface of the desert air cooler 50 that opens into the water tank20 for said suction of water. More specific embodiments of present disclosure enable positioning the pump 10 in vertical position when in operation and in horizontal position when operations are shut down, with water tank detached and the cooler 50 placed on an even surface.
[0023] In one other preferred embodiment the water tank further includes a drain silicon plug 25 provided at the bottom of desert air cooler 50 for drainage of water when released. In one alternate embodiment, as shown in Figs. 2(a) and 2(b), the water tank20 is generally simple and is specifically designed for easy cleaning and to facilitate the water tank 20 to inversely rest on the top of the desert air cooler50 when not in use. The water tank20 is customarily a plain vessel without any mechanism inside, as can be seen in Fig. 2(c) that provides an inside view of the desert air cooler 50. However, this design provides a more reliable, and economical protective cover for desert air cooler in a standing position. Furthermore, the simple design of desert air cooler 50 facilitates easing a more tedious and frequently operated cleaning process.
[0024] In the embodiments of present disclosure and as shown in Figs. 3(a) and 3(b), the desert air cooler 50, depicted with its components in parts, is further provided with a locking mechanism 40 on the side of the water tank 20 in order to lock the water tank 20 to the desert air cooler 50. Fig. 3(a) provides front view of the desert air cooler 50 with water tank 20 showing pump 10 in open position as it would appear when the desert air cooler is in use. During usage, the desert air cooler50 is positioned on the top of the water tank20and the locking mechanism40 provided is akin to any existing locking style which prevents the cooler unit 50 and the water tank 20 from falling apart while in use.Fig. 3(b) depicts the foldable water pump mechanism when placed on a flat surface without the water tank which unfolds when lifted as shown in Fig. 3(a) and is in ready position to function when the cooler unit is placed on top of the water tank.
[0025] In one exemplary embodiment, when the desert air cooler50 is not in use, the water tank 20 is unlocked from the desert air cooler 50, wiped clean and the placed on the top of the desert air cooler 50such that the water tank20 can be inverted and suitably mounted over the top of desert air cooler 50. By given arrangement, the area is best utilized by stacking more coolers in standard shipping containers and also in warehouses. This decreases the overall cost of transportation and also cost of storage in warehouses as more number of air cooling units gets transported and stored. This increases the profitability of the manufacturing / selling company to increase profit margin by an amount equal to 35% to 50% amount saved in freight and storage without having to charge the consumers more money. Furthermore, the materials used in the making of the water tank and the desert air cooler are the same as other desert air coolers, thus there is no increase in manufacturing cost. Figs. 4(a) and 4(b) provide side view and top view of the water tank 20, respectively, for illustration purposes only.

[0026] Referring now to Fig. 5, dimensions of one working embodiment of desert air cooler are shown. While the assembled desert air cooler 50 with the water tank unit placed at the bottom during use has an overall length ranging between 1200mm to 1300 mm, a more preferred length commended is 1245 mm. Such a desert air cooler 50 has water tank20 of length ranging between 400mm to 550 mm, and width ranging between 700mm to 800mm. In one preferred embodiment, the length of water tank20 is maintained as 507mm and the width as 764mm.
[0027] With reference to Fig. 6, the dimensions of disassembled and water tank inversely mounted desert air cooler 50 are illustrated. Here, with the water tank20 placed like an inverted bucket over the top of desert air cooler 50 makes the overall length of system to range between 750mm to 850mm. In one specific embodiment the length of inverted water tank in such cases is approx400-550mm, preferably 440mm.
.[0028] The exemplary methods and acts described in the embodiments presented previously are illustrative, and, in alternative embodiments, certain acts can be performed in a different order, in parallel with one another, omitted entirely, and/or combined between different exemplary embodiments, and/or certain additional acts can be performed, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. Accordingly, such alternative embodiments are included in the inventions described herein.
