Design Of Smart Device For Monitoring Drainage System Of Canals

Abstract: The present invention will develop the device which will be kept or installed in the chambers of sewer lines and it will be integrated with the camera to identify the flow of water and objects and sensors will monitor the decreasing size of the diameter of drains. Once the sensors find that debris and objects are accumulated on the bottom of the drain, this information will be sent to authorities concerned. Fig.1 shows the block diagram for designing of smart device for monitoring drainage system of canals.

Research Gap:
Our invention will send the signals as and when any residue is being collected and it will be an obstacle for smooth flow of the water in the sewer lines.
None of the prior art indicate above either alone or in combination with one another disclose what the present invention has disclosed. Present invention is Design of Smart Device for monitoring drainage system of Canals.

During rain, many cities face the problem of water logging, and the traffic system deteriorates. The drainage choking is the primary reason for this problem.

Fig.1 shows the block diagram for designing of smart device for monitoring drainage system of canals.
Best Method of working:
In our invention, we have connected a drainage monitoring sensor node which is waterproof. The drainage monitoring sensor node will comprise Coprocessor, battery, Lora modem, Kineet sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and computing unit. The battery will provide a proper circuit to the Computing unit, Kineet & Ultrasonic sensor and it will compute the data of debris and water clogging, etc, and send the alarm through Lora Modem via an antenna. Fig.2 shows the block diagram of drainage monitoring sensor node.
The Edge gateway comprises Battery, Wi-Fi modem, data storage cloud server, microcontroller, and Lora Modem as shown in fig.3. The battery will provide connectivity to the Lora modem and microcontroller which will route the data through the Wi-Fi modem and data storage cloud server.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION:
This invention provides an alarm to the authorities concerned beforehand to take action for water logging. The municipality and its higher authorities can monitor the status of canals/drains/sewer lines of cities.
A Device for monitoring drainage system of Canals comprises Chamber (100), Water Level Sensor (103), Kineet Sensor (104), Drainage Monitoring Sensor Node (105), Edge Gateway (107), Cloud Server (108), Application (109), Ultrasonic Sensor (200), Battery (202), Co-Processor (203), LoRa Modem (205), Micro Controller (301), WiFi Modem (303), and Data Storage (305).
Disclosed herein a device is kept or installed in the chambers of sewer lines and it is integrated with the camera to identify the flow of water and objects and sensors monitor the decreasing size of the diameter of drains.
Once the sensors find that debris and objects are accumulated on the bottom of the drain, this information is sent to authorities concerned.
The device is connected a drainage monitoring sensor node which is waterproof; and the drainage monitoring sensor node will comprise Coprocessor, battery, Lora modem, Kineet sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and computing unit.
The battery provides a proper circuit to the Computing unit, Kineet & Ultrasonic sensor and it will compute the data of debris and water clogging, and send the alarm through Lora Modem via an antenna.
The battery provides connectivity to the Lora modem and microcontroller which routes the data through the Wi-Fi modem and data storage cloud server.

WE CLAIM:

1. A Device for monitoring drainage system of Canals comprises Chamber (100), Water Level Sensor (103), Kineet Sensor (104), Drainage Monitoring Sensor Node (105), Edge Gateway (107), Cloud Server (108), Application (109), Ultrasonic Sensor (200), Battery (202), Co-Processor (203), LoRa Modem (205), Micro Controller (301), WiFi Modem (303), and Data Storage (305).
2. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein device is kept or installed in the chambers of sewer lines and it is integrated with the camera to identify the flow of water and objects and sensors monitor the decreasing size of the diameter of drains.
3. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein once the sensors find that debris and objects are accumulated on the bottom of the drain, this information is sent to authorities concerned.
4. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein device is connected a drainage monitoring sensor node which is waterproof; and the drainage monitoring sensor node will comprise Coprocessor, battery, Lora modem, Kineet sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and computing unit.
5. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the battery provides a proper circuit to the Computing unit, Kineet & Ultrasonic sensor and it will compute the data of debris and water clogging, and send the alarm through Lora Modem via an antenna.
6. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the battery provides connectivity to the Lora modem and microcontroller which routes the data through the Wi-Fi modem and data storage cloud server.
