Abstract: LCA Tejas aircraft is having two inboard and two out board elevon assemblies. These Elevons are attached to the wing by 1) Fixed operating hinge point and 2) operating horn connected to the actuator; Both operating horn and operating rib are made up of titanium alloy material. These two are held by series of Bolts-Hexagonal Head. H8 holes are to be made in both these parts for the bolt. The holes drilled on both the parts should have lineabality in the assembled condition. The assembly of these parts is so that the drilling of the parts cannot be done in single setting. So these parts are to be drilled separately without affecting the lineability.
DESCRIPTION TECHNICAL FIELD
Designing of separate drill jigs from the Integrated machining approach of drill plates for operating horn and operating rib assembly on Inboard and outboard elevons of LCA.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Operating rib assembly and operating horn are to be drilled separately because of space constraint in keeping the drill gun in the assembled condition. Machining of drill plates separately will lead to mismatch in the pitches of holes because of manufacturing limitations hence the concept of machining of drill plates in the integrated condition.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
Drill jigs are made from the integrated machining of drill plates to eliminate the mismatch in the pitches of holes on the operating horn and operating rib assembly.

CLAIMS
I claim that:
1. Separately drilling the rib 'off the jig' because of assembly constraints and drilling of horn assembly 'on the jig '.
2. Avoiding the extra master tool.
3. Achieving the lineability of holes even after drilling the parts separately.
