Abstract: The present invention discloses a fixture for locating and clamping power train brackets on main frame or chassis. The locating fixture is developed in a single operation by taking the tandem box mounting bracket as initial reference. The clamping fixtures are designed to counter the distortion effect due to welding of pre machined brackets.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS AND PRIORITY
[001] The present invention claims priority from Indian patent application numbered IN 202241050158 filed on 02nd September, 2022.

FIELD OF INVENTION
[002] The present subject matter described herein, in general, relates to locating fixtures of power train brackets in Main Frame of Motor Grader equipment and more specifically relates to locating and clamping fixtures of power train brackets in Main Frame of Motor Grader equipment.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[003] The mounting system of Engine, Transmission and other aggregates are inter-linked and together constitute a Power train layout. The location of seating of these aggregates in main frame needs to be accurate, precise and should be within the tolerance limit specified in drawing. Hence the drawing specification calls for controlled process that can be achieved through machining of these seating locations in main frame. However, welding of these brackets causes distortion of the structure and also machining of structure leads to higher cost and higher cycle time.
[004] Thus, as an alternative solution, a locating fixture is developed which can be used for locating pre machined mounting brackets on frame and subsequently joining by welding process and clamping fixture to control the welding distortion meeting the drawing specifications.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[005] Main object of the present invention is to develop a locating and clamping fixture to locate power train layout.
[006] Another object of the present invention is to develop a locating and clamping fixture to manufacture power train layout for all brackets in a single operation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[007] Before the present system is described, it is to be understood that this application is not limited to the particular machine or an apparatus, and methodologies described, as there can be multiple possible embodiments that are not expressly illustrated in the present disclosures. It is also to be understood that the terminology used in the description is for the purpose of describing the particular versions or embodiments only, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present application. This summary is provided to introduce aspects related to the development of locating and clamping fixtures to locate power line brackets on main frame structure, and the aspects are further elaborated below in the detailed description. This summary is not intended to identify essential features of the proposed subject matter nor is it intended for use in determining or limiting the scope of the proposed subject matter.
[008] The present subject matter described herein, in general, relates to development of locating and clamping fixture to locate and mount power train brackets on main frame or chassis. The locating fixture is developed in a single operation by taking the tandem box mounting bracket as initial reference. The clamping fixtures are designed to counter the distortion effect due to welding of pre machined brackets.

STATEMENT OF INVENTION
[009] Accordingly, the present invention discloses fixture for locating and clamping power line brackets on a main frame structure comprising at least one tandem box mounting bracket adapted as reference point for mounting other brackets; at least one tandem box assembly configured to be mounted on said tandem box mounting bracket; and at least one clamping fixture (3) clamped on said fixture (100) configured to counter the distortion effect due to welding of pre-machined brackets.
[0010] The present invention also discloses that fixture (100) is configured with plurality of brackets (2). The plurality of brackets (2) are configured to be located and mounted based on the location of the tandem box mounting bracket. The plurality of brackets (2) are configured for mounting the power train assembly on the main frame structure (1). The fixture (100) is configured to mount said plurality of brackets (2) in single operation and setup. The plurality of brackets (2) constitute of engine front bracket, engine rear bracket, transmission bracket, radiator bracket and cabin mounting bracket. The plurality of brackets (2) are configured to facilitate seating of front engine part, rear engine part, transmission assembly, radiator assembly and cabin on the main frame structure (1).

[0027] The present subject matter is a locating fixture designed and developed for Locating Power Train brackets namely Engine Front, Engine Rear, Radiator, Cabin and Transmission Mounting Brackets in Main Frame of Motor Grader equipment. The Power Train Brackets facilitate in seating of Engine, Transmission, Radiator and Cabin in Main Frame with respect to Tandem Box assembly. The location and mounting of these Power Train Brackets needs to be precise, controlled and accurate.
[0028] The complexities of manufacturing the fixture to achieve the Power Train Location w.r.t Tandem assembly and control the distortion through clamping Fixture used to meet the design specifications, makes the fixture innovative and special in the category.
[0029] Tandem Box Mounting Bracket is taken as initial reference and its location is transferred to remaining brackets i,e Engine Front, Rear, Transmission, Radiator and Cabin mounting Brackets using the developed fixture. All the fourteen brackets are located in single operation and set up. The integrated structural design has ensured dimensional accuracy and making the process more reliable and consistent. Trails are conducted to measure the effect of pre-bending on weld distortions. Optimum pre-bending dimension is determined to nullify the distortion effect and thereby ensured drawing dimensions.
[0030] The fixture (100) for locating and clamping power line brackets on a main frame structure (1) comprises of fixture (100) configured with plurality of brackets (2). The plurality of brackets (2) are configured to be located and mounted based on the location of the tandem box mounting bracket. The plurality of brackets (2) are configured for mounting the power train assembly on the main frame structure (1). The fixture (100) is configured to mount said plurality of brackets (2) in single operation and setup. The plurality of brackets (2) constitute of engine front bracket, engine rear bracket, transmission bracket, radiator bracket and cabin mounting bracket. The plurality of brackets (2) are configured to facilitate seating of front engine part, rear engine part, transmission assembly, radiator assembly and cabin on the main frame structure (1)

1. A fixture (100) for locating and clamping power line brackets on a main frame structure (1) comprising:
at least one tandem box mounting bracket adapted as reference point for mounting other brackets;
at least one tandem box assembly configured to be mounted on said tandem box mounting bracket; and
at least one clamping fixture (3) clamped on said fixture (100) configured to counter the distortion effect due to welding of pre-machined brackets.

2. The fixture (100) for locating and clamping power line brackets on a main frame structure (1) as claimed in claim 1 wherein, said fixture (100) is configured with plurality of brackets (2).

3.The fixture (100) for locating and clamping power line brackets on a main frame structure (1) as claimed in claim 1 wherein, said plurality of brackets (2) are configured to be located and mounted based on the location of the tandem box mounting bracket.

4. The fixture (100) for locating and clamping power line brackets on a main frame structure (1) as claimed in claim 1 wherein, said plurality of brackets (2) are configured for mounting the power train assembly on the main frame structure (1).
