Development Of Odour Free Protective Fabrics For Special Application

Abstract: This research aims mainly at preventing the evaporation of petrol from the tank. When the gasoline evaporates, the low boiling point components are lost preferentially.Gasoline use contributes to the air pollution. In ordinary fuel tank, fuel evaporates easily which cause a lot of waste of money but by using kevlar fiber will able to prevent from evaporation. While using ferroalloys, aluminium alloys and plastics materials due to increase in temperature fuel in tank is evaporated. This causes lot of wastage of fuel. To prevent the wastage of fuel, we can use KEVLAR FIBER. Kevlar protects against thermal hazards upto 800 degree fahrenheit. It is extremely strong and lightweight, with resistance towards corrosion and heat.Kevlar fiber is a type of aramid fiber. It is woven into textile material.lt is used in the vast applications such as aerospace engineering ,body armor, bulletproof vests, car brakes, and boats. Kevlar fiber has tensile strength over 8 times than of steel wire and it withstands extreme of temperature well.

Specification

Complete specification
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner it is to be performed.
Field of invention
The present invention mainly relates to development of fuel tank composite using Kevlar fiber.
Background of the invention
This research aims mainly at preventing the evaporation of petrol form the tank. When gasoline evaporates, the low-boiling-point components are lost preferentially. Because gasoline is a multi-component mixture, the chemical composition changes gradually and the evaporation rate slows down gradually as the lighter components are lost. Gasoline use contributes to air pollution. The vapors given off when gasoline evaporates and the substances produced when gasoline is burned (carbon monoxide,, nitrogen o*idesviparticulate imattej, and Unburned hydrocarbons")'; contribute to air

pollution. Burning gasoline also produces carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. By executing ideas like these, people can get more beneficial like this, so all common people can maintain their vehicle. In ordinary fuel tank, fuel evaporates easily which cause a lot of wastes of money but by using Kevlar fiber will would able prevent it.
Summary of the Invention
The present-day fuel tanks can be made of different advanced materials; Ferroalloys, aluminum alloys, plastic. While using those materials due to increases in temperature fuel in tank is evaporated. This cause a lot of wastage of fuel. To prevent wastage of fuel, instead of using ferroalloys, aluminum alloys, plastic we can use KEVLAR FIBER. Kevlar protects against thermal hazards up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit. It is extremely strong and lightweight, with resistance toward corrosion and heat.
Detailed Description of the Invention
Kevlar is a heat-resistant, synthetic, lightweight fiber that delivers high tensile strength that brings improved protection and performance across a range of industries and applications .Offering the strength under heat, Kevlar protects against thermal hazards up to 800 degree Fahrenheit. This combination of unusual properties makes Kevlar useful for a broad range of applications, such as ballistic vests, cut-resistant gloves and blast and flame barriers. Kevlar has also boosted sports gear performance. It has a unique combination of high strength, high modulus, toughness and thermal stability. It was developed for demanding industrial and advanced-technology applications. Currently, many types of Kevlar are produced to meet a broad range of end users. It is a manufactured plastic, and it's made of a chemical compound called poly-Para-phenylene terephthalamide. This chemical is made from creating a chemical reaction between an acid and a chemical solution containing nitrogen and hydrogen. Kevlar fiber helps deliver durability, lightweight strength, stiffness, and thermal and fire protection in aircraft composites. The remarkable performance characteristics of Kevlar can help increase fuel efficiency and decrease operating and maintenance costs.
Kevlar is a type of aramid fiber. It is woven into textile materials and is extremely strong and lightweight, with resistance toward corrosion and heat. It is used in vast application such as aerospace engineering (such as the body of the aircraft), body armor, bulletproof vests, car brakes and boats. Strong but light- some types have a tensile strength over eight times that of steel wire. It withstands the extremes of temperatures well.
The present-day fuel tanks can be made of different advanced materials; Ferroalloys, aluminum alloys, plastic, steel fuel tanks are manufactured by stamping of sheet metal and welding of upper and lower parts. Steel fuel tanks use steel with high viscosity grade and ultimate strength. The plastic has become the main material used by manufactures of fuel tanks. In Europe, 90% of all fuel tanks are made of plastic. In the US, more than 75% of automotive fuel tanks are made of laminated plastic with barrier layer. But prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can weaken plastic, making it less suitable for outdoor storage.
The capacity of fuel tank of two wheeler is 2-10 galloons. The capacity of the fuel tank of four wheeler is 40-70 liters. The present-day fuel tanks can be made of different advanced materials: ferroalloys, aluminum alloys, plastics. Steel fuel tanks are manufactured by stamping of sheet metal and welding of upper and lower parts. Steel fuel tanks use steel with high viscosity grade and ultimate strength. Plastic has become the main material used by manufacturers of fuel tanks. In Europe, 90% of all fuel tanks are made of plastic. In the US, more than 75% of automotive fuel tanks are made of laminated plastic with a barrier layer.

In normal fuel tank Ferroalloys, aluminum alloys, plastic are used. The remarkable performance characteristics of Kevlar can help increase fuel efficiency and decrease operating and maintenance costs.
We Claim
1) The fibers used in this fuel tank supports for a long period of time which lower cost maintenance.
2) In ordinary fuel tank, fuel may evaporate easily which causes waste of money, but when the Kevlar fiber used we can able to prevent these issues.
3) Wastage of petrol due to heat will be reduced in this invention.
4) Ensures safety precautions for the people by preventing fire catch in the fuel tank.
