Specification

Description:The following is a detailed description of embodiments of the disclosure depicted in the
accompanying drawing and the experimental methods.
This invention presents a novel approach to addressing poor back posture resulting from sedentary
lifestyles, focusing on creating a comfortable, discreet, and effective solution through lingerie. By
integrating shape memory alloys (SMAs) such as Nitinol into the design, this product leverages the
unique ability of SMAs to return to a pre-defined shape when exposed to stimuli, offering both
health benefits and wearability. This invention provides an innovative, non-invasive alternative for
posture correction.
1. Raw Material Collection: The process begins with the selection of shape memory alloys
(SMAs), specifically Nitinol (Nickel-Titanium alloy), chosen for their exceptional
biocompatibility, flexibility, and shape memory properties. These materials are carefully
sourced to ensure their suitability for use in wearable technology.
2. Design Process (Lingerie Design & Prototyping): The Nitinol wires are encapsulated in a
soft, flexible silicone coating for added comfort. These wires are strategically placed in key
areas of the lingerie, such as the back panel, with channels sewn into the fabric to house
them securely.

3. Fabric Production: The primary textile fabric used is a Cotton-Polyester blend, selected
for its breathability, durability, and ability to conform to body contours. This fabric provides
comfort and flexibility while ensuring long-lasting wear. The fabric is tested for strength
and elasticity to ensure durability and comfort over time.
4. Fit Testing: Initial prototypes undergo thorough fit testing to verify the proper placement of
Nitinol wires and to assess overall comfort and flexibility. Design adjustments are made
based on the feedback from these tests.
5. Functional Testing (Posture Correction Evaluation): Motion capture systems are
employed to evaluate the product’s effectiveness in correcting posture. Additional
wearability tests are performed to assess long-term comfort and durability.
6. Durability Testing: The lingerie prototypes undergo extensive durability testing, including
multiple wash cycles to assess resilience and abrasion resistance. Fabric stiffness is also
tested as part of the durability evaluation.
7. Finished Product: The final product is a wearable lingerie item that provides posture
correction while maintaining comfort, discretion, and aesthetic appeal. The integration of
Nitinol wires ensures that the lingerie adjusts to the wearer’s body, improving spinal
alignment and reducing discomfort caused by poor posture.
8. Scalability and Industrial Integration: The design is compatible with existing textile
manufacturing systems, allowing for scalable production. The use of shape memory alloys
in the lingerie provides an energy-efficient solution, making it adaptable for mass
production without requiring significant changes to current production methods.
9. Sustainability and Health Benefits: This invention supports both sustainable
manufacturing practices and health benefits. It reduces the reliance on invasive medical
treatments for posture correction and offers an eco-friendly, non-invasive option that
combines the fashion and healthcare industries. The integration of biocompatible materials
ensures minimal environmental impact while promoting better health outcomes. , C , C , C , C , Claims:We claim for
1. A posture-correcting lingerie system, comprising:
• Shape memory alloy wires encapsulated in silicone;
• A cotton-polyester fabric blend for wearability;
• Elastic bands to secure the design in place.
2. The system wherein the shape memory alloy wires are made of Nitinol, which allows the
wires to regain a pre-defined shape when exposed to body heat, thereby assisting in the
alignment of the spine to improve posture.
3. The lingerie system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Nitinol wires are strategically placed
along the back, providing support and maintaining proper spinal alignment when worn.

while allowing for freedom of movement.
5. The lingerie system as claimed in claim 1, wherein elastic bands are incorporated into the
design to keep the garment securely in place on the body, enhancing wearability and
comfort.
6. The posture-correcting lingerie system as claimed in claims 1-5, wherein the silicone
encapsulation around the shape memory alloy wires enhances comfort by preventing direct
contact between the wires and the skin, reducing irritation.
7. The lingerie system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the design integrates both healthcare and
fashion aesthetics, combining functionality with a stylish appearance suitable for daily
wear.
8. A method for manufacturing the posture-correcting lingerie system as claimed in claims 1-
7, wherein the shape memory alloy wires are precisely moulded and placed into the silicone
encapsulation before being integrated into the fabric using advanced textile technology.
9. The method of manufacturing the posture-correcting lingerie system as claimed in claim 8,
wherein the cotton-polyester fabric is cut and sewn to create ergonomic shapes that align
with the body’s natural contours, optimizing both comfort and posture correction.
