information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed
invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Conventional toll systems use manual fee collection from the
vehicle against use of the toll road by any vehicle. This can sometime be very much annoying can waste so much time due to inefficiency of human. Also, this can lead to accumulate a lot of vehicles at the toll plaza leading to a massive traffic jam which is very much undesired. Another method the toll plazas use is used of RFIDs to auto deduct money from a digital wallet associated with the vehicle. This is a better approach than the manual one and is able to deal with the above discussed problems to a much extend. This requires an RFID installed in the vehicle and a received installed at the toll plaza. Once the receiver identifies the RFID in the vehicle, the process of fee collection is initiated. However, it has seen that sometimes the receiver is not able to recognize the RFID in the vehicle and again lead to earlier discussed problems. Also, the existing toll fee collection systems does not implement a usage-based toll collection from the vehicles accurately.
[0004] There is, therefore, a need of an improve system and method for
collecting toll fee from the vehicle exactly on the basis of usage of the toll road by the vehicle and that too without the above discussed problems.
