FIG. 5
,CLAIMS:CLAIMS
We claim:
1. A method for enabling a user to control a vehicle using a user device, wherein the user device is located on an upper limb of the user.
2. The method, as claimed in claim, 1, the method further comprising
sending a vehicle access credential by a vehicle control module present in the vehicle to the user device using a wireless communication means, on a connection being established between the user device and the vehicle control module using the wireless communication means;
sending a response, by the user device, to the vehicle control module, wherein the response comprises of an authentication code and an authentication response key; and
enabling the user device to control the vehicle by the vehicle control module, on the vehicle control module verifying the response.
3. The method, as claimed in claim 2, wherein the method further comprising
encrypting the vehicle access credential by the vehicle control module, before sending the vehicle access credential to the user device; and
decrypting the vehicle access credential by the user device.
4. The method, as claimed in claim 2, wherein the method further comprising
encrypting the response by the user device, before sending the response to the vehicle control module; and
decrypting the response by the vehicle control module.
5. The method, as claimed in claim 2, wherein the method further comprises of the vehicle control module sending a failure message to the user device, on at least one of the vehicle control module failing to receive the response within a pre-defined period of time; and the vehicle control module failing to verify the response.
6. A user device configured for enabling a user of the user device to control a vehicle, wherein the user device is located on an upper limb of the user.
7. The user device, as claimed in claim 6, wherein the user device is further configured for
sending a response to a vehicle control module, wherein the response comprises of an authentication code and an authentication response key, on receiving a vehicle access credential from the vehicle control module and the vehicle control module and the user device are connected using a wireless connection means; and
controlling the vehicle, on the vehicle control module verifying the response.
8. The user device, as claimed in claim 7, wherein the user device is further configured for decrypting the vehicle access credential.
9. The user device, as claimed in claim 7, wherein the user device is further configured for encrypting the response by the user, before sending the response to the vehicle control module.
10. A module in a vehicle for enabling a user to control the vehicle using a user device, wherein the user device is located on an upper limb of the user, the module further configured for
sending a vehicle access credential to the user device using a wireless communication means, on a connection being established between the user device and the vehicle control module using the wireless communication means; and
enabling the user device to control the vehicle, on the vehicle control module verifying a response received from the user device.
11. The module, as claimed in claim 10, wherein the module is further configured for encrypting the vehicle access credential, before sending the vehicle access credential to the user device.
12. The module, as claimed in claim 10, wherein the module is further configured for decrypting the response.
13. The module, as claimed in claim 10, wherein the module is further configured for sending a failure message to the user device, on at least one of the vehicle control module failing to receive the response within a pre-defined period of time; and the vehicle control module failing to verify the response.
