Abstract: A device (100) for making puffed omelet comprising: an air compressor (110) to provide compressed air at a pre-defined pressure to a rotor mixing unit (104), wherein the rotor mixing unit (104) is filled with pre-decided quantity of ingredients, and capable to rotate for a pre-set amount of time to thoroughly mix the ingredients and the air; a valve (114) to be opened, by way of a control unit (122), to transfer a mixture of the ingredients and the air to a pre-heated frying pan (116) for frying the ingredients to make the puffed omelet, wherein the mixture of the ingredients and the air is transferred through a tube (112), upon expiry of the pre-set amount of time; and a vibration unit (120) provided under the frying pan (116), and capable to vibrate the frying pan (116) during frying of the omelet to improve puffiness and volume of the omelet.

Description:Field of the invention
[001] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a device and a method of making omelet and particularly to a device and a method of making puffed omelet using a combined method of compressed air mixing in ingredients and vibration of frying pan during frying.
Description of Related Art
[002] Modern life forces a large number of people to eat healthy food to maintain a good and healthy life style. Omelet is one of a most preferred breakfast all over the world that is being served as a protein diet for kids and adults. Preparing the omelet in large quantity is a cumbersome task for the large number of people like the hostel mess, and so forth. Manual process of mixing and baking the omelet individually is quite challenging.
[003] In order to facilitate this task, many automated machines are developed. Such machines are mainly mixing machines provided with a rotatory motion motor to mix ingredients. Further, various mixing machines have been developed with a frying unit for frying the omelet. However, puffiness of omelet prepared by using these machines is limited after shallow frying.
[004] There is thus a need for an improved and advanced device and method of making the omelet for achieving a better omelet with respect to taste and puffiness.
SUMMARY
[005] Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a device for making puffed omelet. The device includes an air compressor to provide compressed air at a pre-defined pressure to a rotor mixing unit. The rotor mixing unit is filled with pre-decided quantity of ingredients, and capable to rotate for a pre-set amount of time to thoroughly mix the ingredients and the air. The device further comprising: a valve to be opened, by way of a control unit, to transfer a mixture of the ingredients and the air to a pre-heated frying pan for frying the ingredients to make the puffed omelet. The mixture of the ingredients and the air is transferred from the rotor mixing unit to the frying pan through a tube, upon expiry of the pre-set amount of time. The device further comprising: a vibration unit provided under the frying pan, and capable to vibrate the frying pan during frying of the ingredients to improve a puffiness and a volume of the omelet.
[006] Embodiments in accordance with the present invention further provide a method of making puffed omelet by using a device. The method comprising steps of: receiving a pre-decided quantity of ingredients in a rotor mixing unit; activating a button provided on a control unit to enable an air compressor to provide compressed air at a pre-defined pressure to the rotor mixing unit; rotating the rotor mixing unit for a pre-set amount of time for thoroughly mixing the ingredients and the air; opening a valve to transfer a mixture of the ingredients along with the air to a pre-heated frying pan through a tube; frying the ingredients for a pre-defined amount of time on the pre-heated frying pan for making the puffed omelet; and activating a vibration unit to vibrate the frying pan during frying of the ingredients to improve a puffiness and a volume of the omelet.
[007] Embodiments of the present invention may provide a number of advantages depending on its particular configuration. First, embodiments of the present application may provide a device for making puffed omelet. Next, embodiments of the present application may provide a device that may produce large quantity of complete for mess, hostels, canteens, and so forth.
[008] Next, embodiments of the present application may provide a device that may use a combined method of compressed air mixing in ingredients and vibration of frying pan during frying to improve a puffiness and a volume of the omelet.
[009] Next, embodiments of the present application may provide a device for making puffed omelet that is suitable for batch production.
[0010] These and other advantages will be apparent from the present application of the embodiments described herein.

[0019] FIG. 1 illustrates a device 100 for making puffed omelet, according to an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the device 100 may be a semi-automatic machine that may be configured to be operated at various places to produce large quantity of the puffed omelet. The places may be, but not limited to, mess, hostels, canteens, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any place where the puffed omelet may be made.
[0020] The device 100 may comprise a power switch 102, a rotor mixing unit 104, a lid 106, a button 108, an air compressor 110, a tube 112, a valve 114, a frying pan 116, a heating unit 118, a vibration unit 120, and a control unit 122.
[0021] In an embodiment of the present invention, the power switch 102 may disposed on the control unit 122. In an embodiment of the present invention, the power switch 102 may be operated by a user for activating the rotor mixing unit 104 for a pre-set amount of time. The power switch 102 may be of any type such as, but not limited to, a push-button switch, a limit switch, a magnetic switch, a pressure switch, a pull-chain switch, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the power switch 102 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0022] The rotor mixing unit 104 may be adapted to be filled with pre-decided quantity of the ingredients, in an embodiment of the present invention. The ingredients may be, but not limited to, egg yolk and albumin, salt, red chili powder, green chili, onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the ingredients for making the omelet. In an embodiment of the present invention, the rotor mixing unit 104 may comprise blades (not shown) and a driver motor (not shown). The blades may be arranged at a bottom of the rotor mixing unit 104, in an embodiment of the present invention. The blades may be rotated at a variable speed for the pre-set amount of time to thoroughly mix the ingredients and compressed air, in an embodiment of the present invention. The blades may be rotated with the help of the drive motor. The blades may be made up of a material such as, but not limited to, aluminium, plastic, stainless steel, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the material of the blades including known related art and/or later developed technologies.
[0023] The drive motor may be a low-speed motor, and actuated to rotate the blades of the rotor mixing unit 104 for the pre-set amount of time, in an embodiment of the present invention. According to embodiments of the present invention, the drive motor may be, but not limited to, a Direct Current (DC) motor, an Alternate Current (AC) motor, and alike. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the drive motor, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0024] Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, the lid 106 may be provided to cover a top portion of the rotor mixing unit 104. In an embodiment of the present invention, the lid 106 may be closed upon filling the ingredients in the rotor mixing unit 104. The lid 106 may be of any type, such as, but not limited to, a snap on lid, a seal cover lid, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the lid 106, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0025] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the button 108 may be provided on the control unit 122. The button 108 may be operated by the user to activate or deactivate the air compressor 110, in an embodiment of the present invention. The button 108 may be, but not limited to, a push button, a press button, a toggle button, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the button 108, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0026] In an embodiment of the present invention, the air compressor 110 may be attached to the rotor mixing unit 104, to provide the compressed air at a pre-defined pressure. The pre-defined pressure may be 0.5 Kilogram per Square Centimeter (kg/cm2), in a preferred embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, a volume of the air provided to the rotor mixing unit 104 depends on a volume of the ingredients filled in the rotor mixing unit 104. In an exemplary scenario, the air compressor 110 may be configured to provide the compressed air up to 10% of the volume of ingredients added in the rotor mixing unit 104. In an embodiment of the present invention, a flow of the air supplied to the rotor mixing unit 104 may be controlled by the control unit 122. The air compressor 110 may be, but not limited to, a reciprocating air compressor, a centrifugal air compressor, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the air compressor 110 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0027] The tube 112 may be removably attached to the rotor mixing unit 104 and the frying pan 116, in an embodiment of the present invention. In another embodiment of the present invention, the tube 112 may be fixedly attached to the rotor mixing unit 104 and the frying pan 116. The tube 112 may be used as a medium to transfer a mixture of the ingredients of the omelet and the air to the frying pan 116, in an embodiment of the present invention. The tube 112 may transfer the mixture of ingredients of the omelet and the air to the frying pan 116 based on an output generated by the control unit 122. The output may be, an expiration of the pre-set amount of time of mixing the ingredients and the air, in an embodiment of the present invention.
[0028] In an embodiment of present invention, the tube 112 may be made up of a material such as, but not limited to, a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), a ductile iron, a steel, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the material of the tube 112 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0029] Further, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the valve 114 may be provided in the tube 112, and may be opened or closed based on the output received from the control unit 122. In an embodiment of the present invention, the valve 114 may be opened to transfer the mixture of the ingredients of the omelet and the air to the frying pan 116, upon expiry of the pre-set amount of time. The valve 114 may be, but not limited to, a gate valve, a globe valve, a plug valve, a ball valve, a check valve, a diaphragm valve, a pressure relief valve, a control valve, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the valve 114 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0030] The frying pan 116 may be capable to receive the mixture of ingredients and the air from the rotor mixing unit 104 through the tube 112, in an embodiment of the present invention. The frying pan 116 may be pre-heated by the heating unit 118 to fry the ingredients to prepare the omelet, in an embodiment of the present invention. The frying pan 116 may be activated for a pre-defined amount of time to fry the ingredients to prepare the omelet, in an embodiment of the present invention. The frying pan 116 may be deactivated after the pre-defined amount of time based on the output received from the control unit 122.
[0031] The frying pan 116 may be made up of a material such as, but not limited to, aluminium, cast iron, stainless steel, and so forth. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the frying pan 116 may be made up of a food grade stainless steel 306. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the material of the frying pan 116 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0032] The heating unit 118 may be an electrical heating unit configured to provide heat to the frying pan 116, in an embodiment of the present invention. The heating unit 118 may be controlled by the control unit 122 for maintaining a temperature of the heat provided to the frying pan 116, in an embodiment of the present invention. The heating unit 118 may be controlled by the control unit 122 by activating the heating unit 118 for the pre-defined amount of time, in an embodiment of the present invention.
[0033] The vibration unit 120 may be an electro-mechanical type that may be provided under the frying pan 116, to vibrate the frying pan 116 during frying of the omelet to improve puffiness and a volume of the omelet, in an embodiment of the present invention. The vibration unit 120 may be activated by the control unit 122 till the pre-defined amount of time of frying, in an embodiment of the present invention. The vibration unit 120 may be adapted to vibrate the frying pan 116 up and down to evenly provide the heat to the omelet, in an embodiment of the present invention.
[0034] The control unit 122 may be connected to the air compressor 110, the valve 114, the heating unit 118, and the vibration unit 120, in an embodiment of the present invention. The control unit 122 may be configured to control a flow of air provided by the air compressor 110, in an embodiment of the present invention. Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, the control unit 122 may be configured to generate the output for controlling an operation of the valve 114.
[0035] The control unit 122 may also be configured to control a temperature of the frying pan 116 by controlling the heating unit 118, in an embodiment of the present invention. The control unit 122 may also be configured to control an omelet frying time, in an embodiment of the present invention. The control unit 122 may be, but not limited to, a microcontroller, a microprocessor, a Programmable Logic Control (PLC) unit, a development board, and so forth. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the control unit 122 may be an Arduino board. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the control unit 122 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0036] FIG. 2 depicts a flowchart of a method 200 of making the puffed omelet by using the device 100. The method 200 comprises steps of:
[0037] At step 202, the device 100 may be capable to receive the pre-decided quantity of ingredients in the rotor mixing unit 104.
[0038] At step 204, the device 100 may be capable to provide the compressed air to the rotor mixing unit 104 from the air compressor 110.
[0039] At step 206, the device 100 may be capable to rotate the rotor mixing unit 104 for the pre-set amount of time for thoroughly mixing the ingredients and the air.

1. A device (100) for making puffed omelet, the device (100) comprising:
an air compressor (110) to provide compressed air at a pre-defined pressure to a rotor mixing unit (104), wherein the rotor mixing unit (104) is filled with pre-decided quantity of ingredients, and capable to rotate for a pre-set amount of time to thoroughly mix the ingredients and the air;
a valve (114) to be opened, by way of a control unit (122), to transfer a mixture of the ingredients and the air to a pre-heated frying pan (116) for frying the ingredients to make the puffed omelet, wherein the mixture of the ingredients and the air is transferred through a tube (112), upon expiry of the pre-set amount of time; and
a vibration unit (120) provided under the frying pan (116), and capable to vibrate the frying pan (116) during frying of the omelet to improve a puffiness and a volume of the omelet.
2. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the pre-defined pressure is 0.5 Kilogram per Square Centimeter (kg/cm2).
3. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a volume of the compressed air provided to the rotor mixing unit (104) depends on a volume of the ingredients filled in the rotor mixing unit (104).
4. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1, comprising a lid (106) provided to cover a top portion of the rotor mixing unit (104).
5. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the frying pan (116) is pre-heated by a heating unit (118).
6. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1, comprising a power switch (102) disposed on the control unit (122), and operated by a user to activate the rotor mixing unit (104).
7. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1, comprising a button (108) disposed on the control unit (122), and operated by a user to activate the air compressor (110).
8. A method of making puffed omelet by using a device (100), wherein the method comprising steps of:
receiving a pre-decided quantity of ingredients in a rotor mixing unit (104);
activating a button (108) provided on a control unit (122) to enable an air compressor (110) to provide compressed air at a pre-defined pressure to the rotor mixing unit (104);
rotating the rotor mixing unit (104) for a pre-set amount of time for thoroughly mixing the ingredients and the air;
opening a valve (114) to transfer a mixture of the ingredients along with the air to a pre-heated frying pan (116) through a tube (112);
frying the ingredients for a pre-defined amount of time on the pre-heated frying pan (116) for making the puffed omelet; and
activating a vibration unit (120) to vibrate the frying pan (116) during frying of the omelet to improve a puffiness and a volume of the omelet.
9. The method as claimed in claim 8, wherein the pre-defined pressure is 0.5 Kilogram per Square Centimeter (kg/cm2).
10. The method as claimed in claim 8, wherein a volume of the air provided to the rotor mixing unit (104) depends on a volume of the ingredients filled in the rotor mixing unit (104).
