Device For Ascertaining Alignment Of Biaxial Cruciform Sample During Biaxial Testing
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device (102) for ascertaining alignment of a biaxial cruciform sample (101) during biaxial testing. The device (102) comprises a body portion (103) having a base plate (104) and an inner structure (106). The device (102) also comprises an outer structure (108) configured to slide on the inner structure (106). The outer structure (108) comprises a plurality of apertures (110). The device (102) further comprises at least one locking member (112a, 112b) lockingly engageable with the plurality of apertures (110) to secure the outer structure (108) to the inner structure (106). The device (102) comprises a top plate (114) having a first plate member (122) and a second plate member (124) secured to one another at a 90o angle configured to align the biaxial cruciform sample (101). The outer structure (108) slides on the inner structure (106) to accommodate different heights of biaxial cruciform sample (101).
