Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device for detecting temperature of one or more entities. The device includes a housing to be worn by a user, a temperature sensing unit for sensing temperature of the one or more entities within a pre-defined distance of a user wearing the device, and correspondingly generates a first set of signals. A memory associated with a processing unit, for storing instructions which when execution causes the processing unit to receive, from the temperature sensing unit, the first set of signals, extracting, from the first set of signals, temperature and corresponding distance of the entities from the user. Generate a first set of alert signals, if the detected temperature of the nearby entities is greater than a pre-defined first threshold value.

[0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of temperature detection, and more particularly the present disclosure relates to detecting body temperature of nearby individual using a wearable device.

BACKGROUND

[0003] An outbreak of the coronavirus has led to a major international crisis, and it is affecting most important aspects of our daily lives. For example, in most of the cities worldwide, where community gatherings occur have been shut down at places like shopping malls, grocery shops, cinema halls, pubs, and so forth. It is not advisable to commute during such times. However, job related tasks requiring physical presence at certain sites cannot be avoided. This leads to inevitable increase in contact among individuals and hence risk of exposure to the virus. There is no device, instrument or mechanism in place owned by individuals that would alert them to avoid contact with certain individuals who have high body temperature.
[0004] There is, therefore, a need of a device which can make a user wearing the device about a body temperature of people in proximity of the user.

OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
[0005] Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one embodiment herein satisfies are as listed herein below.
[0006] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system/device for detection of temperature of one or more entities in proximity of a user wearing the device.
[0007] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system/device for detection of temperature of one or more entities with increased accuracy.
[0008] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system/device for detection of temperature of one or more entities, which is easy to use, and cost-effective.

SUMMARY
[0009] The present disclosure relates to the field of temperature detection, and more particularly the present disclosure relates to detecting body temperature of nearby individual using a wearable device.
[0010] An aspect of the present disclosure pertains to a wearable device for detecting temperature of one or more entities. The device includes a housing to be worn by a user, a temperature sensing unit configured inside the housing and configured for sensing temperature of the one or more entities within a pre-defined distance of a user wearing the device, and correspondingly generates a first set of signals. A processing unit operatively configured with the temperature sensing unit. A memory associated with the processing unit, for storing instructions which when execution causes the processing unit to receive, from the temperature sensing unit, the first set of signals, extracting, from the first set of signals, temperature and corresponding distance of the one or more entities from the user. Generate, a first set of alert signals, if the detected temperature of the one or more nearby objects is greater than a pre-defined first threshold value. One or more indicating device operatively configured with the processing unit. The one or more indication devices are configured to be actuated on receiving the first set of alert signals.
[0011] In an aspect, the one or more indication devices may include any or combination of light emitting device (LED), sound alarm, and vibrating unit.
[0012] In an aspect, the device may include a display unit operatively configured with the processing unit, and configured to display a direction and a position of the one or more entities.
[0013] In an aspect, the device may include a positioning unit operatively coupled with the processing unit and the display unit, and configured to identify the direction and the position of the or more entities.
[0014] In an aspect, the positioning unit may include any or combination of compass, and GPS.
[0015] In an aspect, the temperature sensing unit may include one or more long-range infrared sensor.
[0016] In an aspect, the device may include any or combination of wrist band, and head mounted device.
[0017] In an aspect, the one or more entities may include any or combination of human, animal, and a robot.
[0018] In an aspect, the processing unit may be configured to generate a set of second alert signals if a distance, of the one or more entities with temperature greater than the pre-defined first threshold value, may be less than a pre-defined second threshold value.

[0027] FIG. 1illustrates an exemplary block diagram of proposed device, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0028] As illustrated, the device can include a housing to be worn by a user, and a temperature sensing unit configured 102 inside the housing. The temperature sensing unit can be configured for sensing temperature of the one or more entities within a pre-defined distance of a user wearing the device, and correspondingly generates a first set of signals. The one or more entities can include but without limiting to a human, an animal, and a robot. The pre-defined range can be defined by a type of sensor used for sensing the temperature. The temperature sensing unit can include but without limiting to one or more long range infrared sensors. A processing unit 104 can be operatively configured with the temperature sensing unit 102.The device can be a wearable device such as but without limiting to a wrist band, head mounted device, and a spectacle.
[0029] In an embodiment, a memory 106 can be associated with the processing unit 104, for storing instructions which when execution causes the processing unit 104 to receive, from the temperature sensing unit 102, the first set of signals. The processing unit 104 can extract, from the first set of signals, the temperature and a corresponding distance of the one or more entities from the user. Further, the processing unit can generate, a first set of alert signals, if the detected temperature of the one or more entities is greater than a pre-defined first threshold value. One or more indicating device 108 can be operatively configured with the processing unit 104. The one or more indication devices 108 can be configured to be actuated on receiving the first set of alert signals.
[0030] In a embodiment, the device can include a database that can further include a normal or healthy temperature value (also referred as pre-defined first threshold value, herein) for the corresponding human, animal, and robot. For example, for human the value of normal temperature value can be 37 degree centigrade. The data base can be but not limited to a server. The data base can further include a minimum distance (also referred as predefine second threshold value, herein) up to which the one or more entities with temperature more than the predefined first threshold value can be allowed. The processing unit 104 can be configured to generate a set of second alert signals if a distance, of the one or more entities with temperature greater than the pre-defined first threshold value, is be less than a pre-defined second threshold value.
[0031] In an embodiment, the one or more indication devices 108 can include but without limiting to light emitting device (LED), sound alarm, and vibrating unit. The device can include a display unit 110 that can be operatively configured with the processing unit 104, and configured to display a direction and a position of the one or more entities. The device can include a positioning unit 112 that can be operatively coupled with the processing unit 104 and the display unit 110, and can be configured to identify the direction and the position of the or more entities. The positioning unit can include but without limiting to compass, and GPS.

[0033] As illustrated, at step 202, the proposed method for detecting temperature of the one or more entities can include receiving, by the processing unit 104, from the temperature sensing unit 102 a first set of signals representing a temperature of the one or more entities within a pre-defined range of the user.
[0034] At step 204, the processing unit 104 can include extracting, from the first set of signals, temperature and corresponding distance of the one or more entities from the user.
[0035] At step 206, the processing unit 104 can include generating, a set of a first set of alert signals, if the temperature of the one or more entities is greater than a pre-defined first threshold value. The first set of alert signals can be configured to actuate one or more indication devices 108.
[0036] In an embodiment, the present disclosure relates to a wearable device that can be worn by a user. The device can be used to detect body temperature of entities that can include any or combination of people, animal, and robot that is in a pre-defined range of the user. The device can alert the user about health condition of the entities around the user. At the same time the device can show a direction in which the entity is coming from/in. The user can take a necessary action based on the alert signals received from the device.
[0037] In an embodiment, if a user wearing the proposed device is in a public place, the device can sense temperature of people in proximity with the user. If there is someone who is having high temperature, the device can make user aware of the individual and a direction which he/she is coming from/in. The user can take preventive actions such as can wear mask, can change his/her direction of movement such that the used does not get too close to the user. In this way the proposed device can prevent the user wearing the device from getting infected from others.

Claims:1. A wearable device for detecting temperature of one or more entities, the device comprising:
a housing to be worn by a user;
a temperature sensing unit configured inside the housing and configured for sensing temperature of the one or more entities within a pre-defined distance of a user wearing the device, and correspondingly generates a first set of signals;
a processing unit operatively configured with the temperature sensing unit; and
a memory associated with the processing unit, for storing instructions which when execution causes the processing unit to:
receive, from the temperature sensing unit, the first set of signals,
extracting, from the first set of signals, temperature and corresponding distance of the one or more entities from the user, and
generate, a first set of alert signals, if the detected temperature of the one or more nearby entities is greater than a pre-defined first threshold value;
one or more indicating device operatively configured with the processing unit, wherein the one or more indication devices are configured to be actuated on receiving the first set of alert signals.
2. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more indication devices comprises any or combination of light emitting device (LED), sound alarm, and vibrating unit.
3. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the device comprises a display unit operatively configured with the processing unit, and configured to display a direction and a position of the one or more entities.
4. The device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the device comprises a positioning unit operatively coupled with the processing unit and the display unit, and configured to identify the direction and the position of the or more entities.
5. The device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the positioning unit comprise any or combination of compass, and GPS.
6. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the temperature sensing unit comprise one or more long-range infrared sensor.
7. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the device comprises any or combination of wrist band, and head mounted device.
8. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more entities comprises any or combination of human, animal, and a robot.
9. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processing unit is configured to generate a set of second alert signals if a distance, of the one or more entities with temperature greater than the pre-defined first threshold value, is less than a pre-defined second threshold value.
