The following specification particularly describes and ascertains the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:-

TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The embodiments herein generally relate to air filter systems and more particularly, but not exclusively to air filter systems in engines.

BACKGROUND
[002] Generally, an air filter in an engine is a device for filtering the engine intake air from dust, pollutants and other foreign particles. The intake air provided to an engine must be clean in order for proper functioning of the engine.
[003] Though the conventional air filters enables, filtering of the air from dust, pollutants and other foreign particles, some amount of very fine or minute abrasive particles (fine dust particles) enters the engine. These fine abrasive particles (fine dust particles) on entering the engine causes enlargement of the engine cylinder bore, higher oil consumption, connecting rod failure and thereby causing an engine seizure.
[004] Therefore, there exists a need for a device for efficiently filtering the intake air of an engine. Furthermore, there exists a need for a device that can eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks.

OBJECTS
[005] The principal object of an embodiment of this invention is to provide a device for efficiently filtering the intake air of an engine.
[006] The objects of the embodiments herein will be better appreciated and understood when considered in conjunction with the following description and the accompanying drawings. It should be understood, however, that the following descriptions, while indicating embodiments and numerous specific details thereof, are given by way of illustration and not of limitation. Many changes and modifications may be made within the scope of the embodiments herein without departing from the spirit thereof, and the embodiments herein include all such modifications.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[007] The embodiments of this invention are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, throughout which like reference letters indicate corresponding parts in the various figures. The embodiments herein will be better understood from the following description with reference to the drawings, in which:
[008] FIG. 1 depicts a schematic view of a device assembled to an engine, according to an embodiment of the invention as disclosed herein.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[009] The embodiments herein and the various features and advantageous details thereof are explained more fully with reference to the non-limiting embodiments that are illustrated in the accompanying drawings and detailed in the following description. Descriptions of well-known components and processing techniques are omitted so as to not unnecessarily obscure the embodiments herein. The examples used herein are intended merely to facilitate an understanding of ways in which the embodiments herein may be practiced and to further enable those of skill in the art to practice the embodiments herein. Accordingly, the examples should not be construed as limiting the scope of the embodiments herein.
[0010] The embodiments herein achieve a device for efficiently filtering the intake air of an engine. Referring now to the drawings and more particularly to FIG. 1, where similar reference characters denote corresponding features consistently throughout the figures, there are shown embodiments.
[0011] FIG. 1 depicts a schematic view of the device 100 assembled to an engine 200, according to an embodiment of the invention as disclosed herein. In an embodiment, the engine 200 includes an air filter 202, an intake conduit 204 and an intake manifold 206. The intake conduit 204 is provided in fluid communication with the air filter 202 and the intake manifold 206. The intake manifold 206 is provided in fluid communication with the engine 200. The device 100 is provided in fluid communication with the intake conduit 204 of the engine 200. The air filter 202 is used to filter the intake air flowing to the engine 200. The intake manifold 206 is used to supply or distribute the filtered intake air to the engine 200.
[0012] In an embodiment, the device 100 is used to filter the intake air provided to the engine 200. The device 100 filters the intake air that is filtered by the air filter 202, thereby any fine particles or minute dust particles or any other foreign particles that are not filtered by the air filter 202 are filtered from the intake air by the device 100. In an embodiment, the device 100 includes a chamber 102, at least one filter element (not shown), a fluid (not shown), a conduit 104 and at least one drain plug 106.
[0013] In an embodiment, the chamber 102 is used to hold the filter element (not shown) and the fluid (not shown). In an embodiment, the chamber 102 includes at least one inlet (not shown) and at least one outlet (not shown). The inlet (not shown) is used to receive the dust or foreign particles in the air flowing from the air filter 202 and the outlet (not shown) is used to drain or remove the fluid (not shown) from the device 100. The inlet (not shown) of the chamber 102 is provided in fluid communication with the intake conduit 204 through the conduit 104. In an embodiment, the chamber 102 is transparent, thereby the level of fluid (not shown) in the chamber 102 can be identified to maintain the oil level. In an embodiment, the chamber 102 is adapted to open to replace the filter element (not shown) and the fluid (not shown).
[0014] In an embodiment, the filter element (not shown) is used to retain or trap the dust or foreign particles (fine dust particles, etc.) in the air flowing from the air filter 202. The filter element (not shown) includes a plurality of minute cavities (not shown) to retain the dust or foreign particles (fine dust particles, etc.) in the air. In an embodiment, the filter element (not shown) is a cellulose paper. However, it is also within the scope of the invention to provide any other type of filter element without otherwise deterring the intended function of the filter element (not shown) as can be deduced from the description. The filter element (not shown) is provided in the chamber 102 above the fluid (not shown) in the chamber 102.
[0015] In an embodiment, the fluid (not shown) is used to retain or trap the dust or foreign particles in the air flowing from the air filter 202. In an embodiment, the fluid in the chamber 102 is oil. However, it is also within the scope of the invention to provide any other type of fluid without otherwise deterring the intended function of the fluid as can be deduced from the description.
[0016] In an embodiment, the conduit 104 is used to connect the inlet (not shown) of the chamber 102 and the intake conduit 204 in fluid communication. The dust or foreign particles in the air from the air filter 202 enters the chamber 102 of the device 100 through the conduit 104.
[0017] In an embodiment, the drain plug 106 is used to discharge or drain the fluid in the chamber 102, as the fluid in the chamber 102 will be disintegrated after a period of time. The drain plug 106 is removably connected to the outlet of the chamber 102.
[0018] The working of the device 100 is as follows. During the operation of the engine 200, the atmospheric air enters the air filter 202 and most of the dust or foreign particles in the air are removed. Thereafter, the air from the air filter 202 flows into the intake conduit 204. Thereafter, the fine dust or foreign particles in the air from the air filter 202 enters the chamber 102 through the conduit 104, as the fine dust particles are denser than the air and enters the chamber 102 due to gravity. The fine dust particles entering the chamber 102 are retained by the filter element and the fluid in the chamber 102 and the air free from dust or foreign particles flows to the engine 200. Thus a device 100 for efficiently filtering the intake air of the engine 200 is provided.
[0019] The foregoing description of the specific embodiments will so fully reveal the general nature of the embodiments herein that others can, by applying current knowledge, readily modify and/or adapt for various applications such specific embodiments without departing from the generic concept, and, therefore, such adaptations and modifications should and are intended to be comprehended within the meaning and range of equivalents of the disclosed embodiments. It is to be understood that the phraseology or terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation. Therefore, while the embodiments herein have been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the embodiments herein can be practiced with modification within the spirit and scope of the embodiments as described herein.
