Device For Hot Spot Temperature Measurement On Traction Motor Rotor Using Radio Telemetry System

Abstract: A device (100) for hot spot temperature measurement on traction motor rotor using radio telemetry system comprises a shaft (1) of the traction motor is assembled to route sensors cable from locations of temperature sensors. An adaptor (2) is configured for fixing on the shaft (1) and comprises a screw thread to fix a telemetry rotor (3) the telemetry rotor assembly (3) having through holes for fixing with the adaptor (2) and fitted inside the traction motor spacer. An adaptor (4) having plurality of equipspaced holes and fixed to another end adaptor (6). The adaptor (4) is mounted on the air inlet duct for alignment and a plurality of telemetry radio antennas (7) are provided for receiving the sensors signals transmitted by said telemetry rotor (3) and sent to the data acquisition system for determination and monitoring of temperature signals from rotating components of the traction motor rotor.
