PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the invention and the manner in which it is
to be performed.

FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention is related to wheel chock mounting assembly and more particularly to a device for wheel chock mounting.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Wheel chocks are wedges of sturdy material placed behind a vehicle's wheels to prevent accidental movement of a vehicle at halt. Chocks are placed for safety in addition to setting the brakes. One surface of the wedge has a concave profile similar to the wheel which prevents the movement of the vehicle. Automobiles usually have parking brakes on the rear wheels. If the rear axle is jacked off the ground with only the parking brake set. the vehicle may roll on the front wheels and fall. Chocking the front wheels prevent this mishap. Here comes the necessity to provide wheel chocks for all the heavy vehicles as a safety measure.
Considering the size of the wheel chocks it can't be placed unfixed/unfastened. Hence it is necessary to provide mounting arrangement for wheel chocks of a vehicle.
Conventionally wheel chock is fixed to the long member or frame of vehicle by means of fasteners. While using fasteners to fix the wheel chock it is found hard to access, as every time we need to unscrew the bolts and nuts to remove the wheel chocks and again to fix in position. Also while fixed by means of fasteners it can be removed by any one.
This new invention is to over come all the above said disadvantages of the prior art of using fasteners to fix wheel chock

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the present invention is to provide a device for wheel chock mounting.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a method of mounting wheel chock
Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide easy accessibility of the wheel chocks of a vehicle while removing and fixing.
Yet another objective of this invention is to provide locking arrangement to prevent the theft of wheel chocks of a vehicle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring now to the drawings, wherein the showings are for the purpose of illustrating a preferred embodiment of the invention only, and not for the purpose of limiting the same.
Now referring to figure-01 to 08, In accordance with the present invention, wheel chock locking device , comprises a clamp plate (3) which is connected to long member or frame (2) with the help of fasteners (4), a 'c' type hinge bracket (5) welded on said clamp plate (3), a locking plate (6) hinged by means of a split pin (7) with said 'c' type hinge plate (5) ,a lock (8) and rubber pads (9). Said clamping plate (3) comprises a vertical flange (10) having at least two holes (11) for connecting said clamp plate (3) to the said long member or frame (2) with the help of said fasteners (4). The said vertical flange (10) extends to a curved profile (12) which suits for mounting wheel chock (1). A cut out portion (13) is provided at middle of said curved profile (12) for the action of said locking plate (6). A projected profile (14) with a hole is provided at the said profile (12) for locking said clamp plate (3) and the locking plate (6) with said lock (8) after mounting said wheel chock (1).
Said 'C type hinge bracket (5) comprises a flat wall (15) with 90 degree bent flanges (16) at the two ends opposite to each other. Said flat wall (15) having

inline holes (17) at said bent flanges (16) through which said locking plate (6) is
hinged by means of said split pin (7).
Said locking plate (6) comprises a flat flange (18) with a 90 degree bent flange
(19) at one end to clamp said wheel chock (1) with said clamp plate (3) and at the
other end, a flange bent (20) at an angle. Said flange bent (20) at an angle
comprises a rolled end (21) to hinge with said 'c' type hinge bracket (5) with the
help of said split pin (7).
Said flat flange (18) of said locking plate (6) comprises a projection with a hole
(22) which matches exactly with said projected profile (14) with a hole of said
clamp plate (3) at locking position for locking said clamp plate (3) and the locking
plate (6) with lock (8) after mounting said wheel chock (1).
To reduce noise and vibration said rubber pads (9) are attached on said curved
profile (12) of said clamp plate (3) and on said 90 degree bent flange (19) of said
locking plate (6).The base (23) of said wheel chock (1) comprises an "L" cross
section plate (24) through which it is to be mounted.
Referring now to the Figure 7, method of mounting said wheel chock (1) in the present invention includes, mounting said wheel chock (1) on said clamp plate (3) as said "L" cross section plate (24) mounts on said profile (12) of said clamp plate (3), turning the said locking plate (6) towards said profile (12) of said clamp plate (3) and clamping the said wheel chock (1) then locking said clamp plate (3) and locking plate (6) with said lock (8) through said projection with a hole (22) of said locking plate (6) and said projected profile with a hole (14) of said clamp plate (3) which will be matched inline after clamping.
For removing said wheel chock (1) from the said long member or frame (2) procedure is reversed.
The foregoing description is a specific embodiment of the present invention. It should be appreciated that this embodiment is described for purpose of illustration

only, and that numerous alterations and modifications may be practiced by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. It is intended that all such modifications and alterations be included insofar as they come within the scope of the invention as claimed or the equivalents thereof.
