Specification

TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a display device to be installed on the backside of vehicles (hereinafter interchangeably referred as “automobile,” “car”, “dumper” or “vehicle”) and more particularly a device displaying running speed of vehicles and more particularly a display device to be useful for the following vehicles.

BACKGROUND
[0002] The background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed disclosure, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Automobile is a wheeled passenger vehicle that carries its own motor. Most definitions of the term specify that automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for one to six people, typically have four wheels and be constructed principally for transportation of people.
[0004] Lots of road accidents take place due to the usage of sudden brakes by preceding vehicles as the vehicles running behind that vehicle do not have exact idea of speeds at which the preceding vehicle is running and collides once the preceding vehicle uses sudden brake.
[0005] Patent US20060227212A1 has disclosed a video display system for a vehicle wherein a first video display is used for providing an image projection to a rear view mirror of the vehicle, and a second video display mounted behind the first video display.
[0006] Patent US20140111323A1 has disclosed an arrangement or adaptation of optical signaling or lighting devices, the devices being primarily intended to indicate the vehicle, or parts thereof, or to give signals, to other traffic mounted on parts having other functions on windscreens or windows
[0007] Patent US7221363B2 has disclosed a vehicle information display system where various information’s regarding the vehicle are displayed and also covert displays using the same.
[0008] These and similar devices have been very useful for the vehicles. However, there are lacks of devices which can be useful for the following vehicles to know the exact speed of the preceding vehicles at which it is running.
[0009] The present invention relates generally to improved instrumentation for vehicles. In particular, the invention provides an apparatus and method for an improved display for speed that acts as a speedometer for an automobile. More particularly, the invention provides a device and method for an improved display for reading velocity that acts as a speedometer in one or more measurement conventions, which are coupled to each other. Merely by way of example, the invention is applied to an exterior of an automobile, but it would be recognized that the invention has a much broader range of applicability.
[00010] There is hence, an unmet need of developing a display device showing speed of vehicles to be installed on the backside of which would be useful for the following vehicles to know the speed of the preceding vehicles at which it is running.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[00011] Therefore, one object of the present invention is to develop a mechanism to show speed of vehicle on its backside.
[00012] Another object of the present invention is to develop a bigger display device showing speed of vehicle, viewable from distance.
[00013] Another object of the present invention is to develop a display device to be useful for following vehicles to know the speed of preceding vehicles.
[00014] Yet another object of the present invention is to minimise road accidents caused due to sudden usage of brakes.
