Abstract: A display device includes: a first board; a second board including a transparent substrate larger in size than the first board, and including, on a back of the transparent substrate, a first region where the first board overlays the transparent substrate and a second region where the transparent substrate lies off the first board; and a connection member connected to the terminal section and disposed within an outer shape of the second board. The first region is provided with a first shading layer, a driving element, and a display element in this order and the second region is provided with a second shading layer and a terminal section connected to the driving element in this order.
