"Disposable Plates Made From Grass And Leaves"

Abstract: The present invention is a Biodegradabe Product, that is Plates, Containers and receptacles made of raw materials such as hay, leaves of Sal or Banyan and food grade glue. The Biodegradable plates and receptacles are free from harmful chemicals, safe to be used by humans and consumable by cattle. The plates and receptacles are of two layers, Top layer is made of leaves and Bottom layer of Hay or dried gas. Both the layers bonded by means of Biodegradable food grade Glue and Compression. These are strong enough to bear hot food, weight of the food served without bending.

FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] The invention relates to the field of Biodegradable products, in particular Plates and receptacles made of leaf, strengthened by Biodegradable material that is safe for consumption by cattle.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[0002] Pollution by plastic is a problem faced worldwide in developed and underdeveloped countries. In recent times usage of plastic has increased by leaps and bounds as it is cheap. People use disposable plastic plates, cups, spoons, bottles, and many such articles on different occasions the list is never ending. Plastic is non biodegradable and unfriendly to the environment. Biodegradable plastic is available, but it is very expensive.
[0003] India is an agricultural country wherein there are plenty of cattle freely roaming around the streets, there are many incidents wherein the catties have swallowed plastic bags and died. There has been a heavy loss of livestock due to such incidents. Though the Government has taken many steps towards curbing the use of plastic it has become a herculean task to restricting the usage of plastic. Pollution by plastic is not only a problem of a particular country but also has become a global problem owing to its difficulty in disposing.

[0004] The present invention is aimed at providing an alternative solution that is not only eco friendly but that can even become a source of feed for the cattle.
[0005] From ancient time in India it is a culture to eat food on banana leaves and plates made up of Banyan, Areca leaves. This is a very healthy practice as the cattle feeds on the leftovers and the leaves. In modern days the Buffet culture is prevalent as it is less burdensome because very les manpower is required for serving food. Leaf plates are useless in buffet parties as it is not strong and is prone to bending. Stainless steel or ceramic plates can be used. Since it is laborious to wash and ceramics are prone to breakage, these are less preferred.
[0008] The present invention uses raw materials such as hay, leaves of Sal or Banyan, food grade glue that is biodegradable as well as consumable by cattle. Currently areca leaf plates are used, even though it is biodegradable and strong, these are very expensive and catties do not consume them.
OBJECT OF INVENTION
[0009] The object of the invention is to provide Biodegradable Plates, Containers and receptacles of various shapes, that can bear hot Solid and liquid food substances without any leakage.

[0010] Yet another Object of the invention is to render the food substance free of any chemical contamination by these Containers.
[0011] Another aspect of invention being these Biodegradable receptacles and containers can be a feed themselves that can be safely consumed by Cattle.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0012] The present invention Plates, Containers and receptacles are made of Biodegradable Raw materials Such as leaves, Dry grass and Food Grade Glue.
[0012] The product is strengthened by a two way layering, top and • Bottom layers.
[0013] Top layer is made up of leaves and bottom layer is made up of dry grass.
[0014] Both the layers are bound together by means of Food grade Glue and Compression. Alternatively it can also be bound by stitching with Fibre extracted from the dried bark of Banana Plant.
[0015] The invention can be used to make Different shapes of Plates, containers and receptacles.

[0016] The products made by this process are safe for Humans as Chemicals are not used.
[0017] It is easily disposable as it is Biodegradable as well as can be consumed by cattle.
DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
[0018] The invention Biodegradable plates, Containers and receptacles
makes use of natural products such as leaves of Sal, Banyan and similar
Variety Plants, Dry grass/hay and Food grade Glue as the source of raw
materials.
[0019] The product is strengthened by a two way layering, top an
Bottom layers.
[0020] Top layer is made up of leaves and bottom layer is made up of. dry grass. Grass can be obtained from any source such as rice, wheat, etc., The top layer of the product will have a leaf arrangement, such that it is overlapping each other leaving no holes or gaps.
[0021] The Bottom layer which is made of dried grass or hay is arranged in such a way that it is intertwined with eachother to form a matt like structure.

[0022] Both the top and bottom layers layers are bound together by means of Food grade Glue and heat Compression. Compression is done by running the containers with dies of desired shape and size by a Continuous Bio plate Casting/ Shaping machine.
[0023] The food grade glue used in this process is obtained by mixing water, all purpose, flour, some jaggery, vinegar and some secret Ingredients.
[0024] Alternatively it can also be bound by stitching with Fibre extracted from the dried bark of Banana Plant. Otherwise Both Glue and Stiching can be done.
[0025] The invention can be used to make Different shapes of Plates, containers and receptacles. These products can be mad with or without rims. With or without compartments.
[0026] The products made by this process are safe for Humans as Chemicals are not used. It is easily disposable as it is Biodegradable as well as can be consumed by cattle.
[0027] The plates , cups, bowls, receptacles, containers made by the above mentioned mentioned process is easily disposable, Biodegradable and consumable by cattle. Due to these features this becomes an ecofriendly product.

CLAIMS
I Claim,
1. A Biodegradable disposable Plate, Containers, receptacles consisting of top layer of leaf arrangement, bottom layer of dry grass arrangement bound together by heat compression or Stitching with threads made of Banana Plant's dry Bark.
2. The Biodegradable product as mentioned in claim 1 wherein . the top layer is made up of leaves of plants such as sal and Banyan arranged in an Overlapping fashion such that there is no scope of any gaps in between.
3. The Biodegradable product as mentioned in claims 1 and 2 wherein the top layer is where the food substances can be placed.
4. The Biodegradable product as mentioned in claim 1 wherein the bottom layer made of dried grass or hay obtained from rice, wheat or similar Crops is arranged in such a way that it is intertwined with each other to form a matt like structure.

5. The Biodegradable product as mentioned in Claims 1 and 4, where in the bottom layer gives enough support to the top layer and prevents it from bending after placing the food subastances.
6. The Biodegradable product as mentioned in above claims wherein the top and bottom layers are held together firmly by means of food grade glue.
7. The biodegradable product as mentioned in claims 1 and 6 wherein the Food grade glue contains a mixture of water, all purpose flour, jaggery, vinegar and secret Ingredients that is safe to be consumed by Humans.
8. The Biodegradable product as mentioned in Claims 1 to 7, wherein Plates, Containers, receptacles of any Size, Shape after binding with glue is further held together by heat compression.
9. The Biodegradable product as mentioned in Claims 1 to 7, can alternatively be stitched after gluing with fibre extracted from dried bark of Banana Plant.
10. The Biodegradable products of the above claims are strong
enough and do not bend while carrying the food substances.

11. The Biodegradable product utilizing the above process is safe to be consumed by cattle.
