These embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the invention, and it is to be understood that other embodiments may be utilized and that logical, mechanical and electrical changes may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. The following detailed description is, therefore, not to be taken in a limiting sense.
[00016] Embodiments of the present invention provide a domestic flour kneading machine (11) for greater homogeneity of the kneaded mass.
[00017] With reference of figure 1, one embodiment of the present invention provides a mixing chamber (12) with a lid (13). One of the examples of the mixing chamber (12) is a bowl or a drum for containing a mass to be kneaded and mixed. Though other examples of the mixing chamber (12) can be utilized for the same. The mixing chamber (12) has a base (20) attached to the bottom portion. Further the mixing chamber (12) has an agitator member (14) such as a shaft which extends vertically towards the base (20) and fastened with a screw (21). Preferably the agitator member (14) is arranged on the centre of the mixing chamber (12).
[00018] Further the present invention includes a plurality of kneading arms (15) and (16), which are arranged with the agitator member (14) and rotatable within the mixing chamber (12), with the same direction of rotation. For efficient
kneading of flour, the plurality of kneading arms (15) and (16) are arranged systematically such that the first set of kneading arms (15) is connected to the upper portion of agitator member (14) and the second set of kneading arms (16) is connected to the lower portion of the agitator member (14).
[00019] Another embodiment includes an elongated shaft (19) which is arranged horizontally inside the mixing chamber (12) such that one end of the elongated shaft (19) is connected with the agitator member (14) with the help of a bush (17) and the other end of the elongated shaft (19) is connected with the outer cover of the mixing chamber (12). This elongated shaft (19) is assembled to provide homogeneity in a kneaded mass. A ring (18) is arranged with the bush (17) on the agitator member (14).
[00020] Figure 2 represents an agitator member (14) of the mixing chamber (12). The agitator member (14) such as the shaft is made up of stainless steel and comprises three cylindrical parts which are arranged vertically in the mixing chamber (12). The first part (14a) is a narrower part, the second part (14b) is broader than the first part (14a) and the third part (14c) is broader than the second part (14b). This third part (14c) is fixing the shaft with the base (20) of the mixing chamber (12).
[00021] Figure 3 represents an elongated shaft (19) of the mixing chamber (12). The elongated shaft (19) includes two portions. The first portion (19a) is to connect the elongated shaft (19) with the mixing chamber (12) and the second portion (19b) act as a barrier in the process of kneading flour to provide homogeneity in the kneaded mass.
[00022] With reference of figure 4, a domestic flour kneading machine (11) is shown. It includes the mixing chamber (12) as shown in figure 1 and an actuated means. One of the examples of actuated means is a motor (27). Another example of actuated means is a hand driven device. Though other examples of
actuated means may be utilized. In the preferred embodiment the motor (27) used, is an electric motor driven by an alternating current (AC). Preferably the range of the motor power is ½ HP to 2 HP. Further the range of the motor power can be up to 5 HP.
[00023] Advantageously the domestic flour kneading machine (11) includes a housing (25) which encloses the motor (27). Further the housing (25) includes a coupling member (24) to couple the mixing chamber (12) with the motor (27). Moreover the motor (27) operates in response of a control member (28) for kneading flour and mixing of food articles at variable speed.
[00024] Further the housing (25) comprises a rotating member (26) which is connected with the motor (27) to rotate the agitator member (14). Moreover the rotating member (26) is connected with the motor (27) with the help of a first pulley (29), V-belt (31) and second pulley (30).
[00025] In operation, a male terminal (22) of the base (20) connects with a female terminal (23) of the coupling member (24). Flour is introduced into the mixing chamber (12). Further the flour is kneaded with the plurality of kneading arms (15) and (16) which rotates with the rotation of the agitator member (14) and the elongated shaft (19) which folds the kneading mass. Variable speed of the rotation is performed with the control member (28). In the preferred embodiment, the weight of the domestic flour kneading machine (11) is 20 kg. Though the weight of the domestic flour kneading machine (11) may vary for the various applications of the machine.
[00026] Figure 5 shows a variant of domestic flour kneading machine (51). It comprises the mixing chamber (12) (as shown in figure 1) and the motor (27) which is arranged along side with the mixing chamber (12) on a supporting body (53a) and (53b). Further the motor (27) is connected with the rotating member (26) to rotate the agitator member (14) of the mixing chamber (12). Moreover the
motor (27) is enclosed in a motor cover (52) which is attached on the supporting body (53a).
