Abstract: Double saw head burr free cold fly cutoff model (FCDS-275) to use inline on Tube Mills pipe cutting machine up to 60 met/ min speed to get 10 cuts of 6 met long pipes with cut length accuracy as good as +/- 2 mm with least burrs and perfect square cuts without any dimple. Eco friendly machine has been designed to offer least per cut cost as it consumes very low power ( machine uses very low overall power of 60 KW on ( Model FCDS 275 ) as against conventional similar saws which uses 150 to 200 KW) and offers more number cuts . For wall thickness up to 8mm and tough steel pipes, TCT saw blades are most suited. For pipes up to 3mm wall thickness, coated HSS saws can be used without any set up change, highly user friendly computer program ,needs very few data to enter by mill operator with fool proof and fault diagnostic features. Pipe cutting time is only limitation for production of tubes on mill. By using two cutters pipe cutting time can be reduced by approx 40 %, thus increasing the productivity by approx.60% which is a big revolution in production of big dia. pipes. It is also having all benefits of invention of High Speed Burr free cold Cut off Sawing machine.

Pipe cutting time is only limitation for production of tubes on mill. By using two cutters pipe cutting time can be reduced by approx 40 % , thus increasing the productivity by approx.40% which is a big revolution in production of big dia. pipes.
It is also having all benefits of invention of High Speed Burr free cold Cut off Sawing machine.
Back Ground and Prior art:-
Conventional model are not highly efficient and output of the machine is very low hence the costing of overall project is very high.
The conventional model available in the market is very huge and not easily operatable but the present invention is easy to operate and compact in size.
The present machine available in the market are not computer friendly hence very difficult to operate and monitor but present invention is highly computer friendly.
Objects of the invention:-
An object of the present invention is that it saves excessive wear of saw blade tooth which helps in re - sharpening, which convenient and user friendly.
Further object of the present invention which enhances the tool life, saw cutting Speed and feed rate is adjusted automatically. For thick wall pipes and sections special feature of slow entry and slow exit allows cutter to run without excessive loading due to pipe wall contact area.
Further important object of the present invention is that depending upon pipe size, saw blade size can be selected to economize tool cost as small diameter cutters are much cheaper, also after re sharpening saw blade size reduces and can be used for small diameter pipe without any difficulty, depending upon saw blade diameter, machine automatically adjusts saw head stroke
Very important object of the present invention is that due to reduction in cutting time productivity of Tube Mill tremendously increased by almost 60 %.
Further object of the present invention is that Double Saw Head Burr Free Cold Cut Off Sawing Machine has almost all the Benefits of invention of High Speed Burr Free Cold Cut off Sawing Machine wherein the Two sides saw helps to make cutting "burr free" and up to +/- 2 mm Length Accuracy. This gives more accurate cutting.
Description of invention :-
A Double saw head burr free cold fly cutoff model (FCDS-275) to use inline on Tube Mills pipe cutting machine up to 60 met/ min speed to get 10 cuts of 6 met long pipes with cut length accuracy as good as +/- 2 mm with least burrs and perfect square cuts without any dimple. For pipes up to 3mm wall thickness, coated HSS saws can be used without any set up change. Highly user friendly computer program, needs very few data to enter by mill operator with fool proof and fault diagnostic features.
Machine has been designed to keep minimum inertia load of shuttle which reciprocates at very high speed. With high technological 8B metallurgical combined properties aluminum alloy has been used to bring down moving shuttle weight from conventional shuttle design of around 2000 Kgs to only 525 kgs. The said machine comprising the Rake which is mounted on the machine bed 0 and pinion on back lash free reduction gear box fitted with low weight AC servo motor . With the rotation of pinion, shuttle moves (1) forward or reverse very precisely to offer close tolerance cut length.
Oppositely located saw heads (2) slides forward 8s reverse on linear motion guide bearings and moves thru ball screw coupled to AC servo motor (3) which are mounted on table across the pipe axis. Saw heads gear box is coupled with servo motors which rotate the saw blade at programmed speed depending upon saw blade properties and pipe material quality. When saw blade gets dull / worn out, computer senses the condition and give alarm to change the blade with new one. This feature saves excessive wear of saw blade tooth which helps in re sharpening.
Shuttle stroke can be used up to 4500 mm but depending upon the pipe size, thickness and mill speed, stroke length reduces automatically avoiding unnecessary wear tear of sliding parts. Similarly, to enhance tool life, saw cutting Speed and feed rate is adjusted automatically. For thick wall pipes and sections special feature of slow entry and slow exit allows cutter to run without excessive loading due to pipe wall contact area.
depending upon pipe size , saw blade size can be selected to economize tool cost as small diameter cutters are much cheaper , also after re sharpening saw blade size reduces and can be used for small diameter
pipe without any difficulty. Depending upon saw blade diameter, machine automatically adjusts saw head stroke.
Centralized lubrication system (4) has dedicated PLC to lubricate all the moving parts as programmed depending upon function.TCT saw blades tooth are cooled and lubricated micro mist spray system. ITL offers Eco friendly mist oil to enhance saw blade life.
Pipe clamping is done by pneumatically operated double acting clamps such that both the jaws retracts back to avoid rubbing and scratching on pipe. Clamping jaws (5) can be changed quickly. Hardened and ground alloy steel length measuring roll is connected to Rotary Encoder and the whole assembly is housed in hinged oscillating roll blocks.

Operational Sequence
• After entering the desired data in the PLC , mill is started.
• Length measuring device starts measuring the length.
• No sooner programmed length in measured, system gets a signal and shuttle starts moving.
• In fraction of second shuttle speed synchronizes very precisely with the pipe speed.
• Two pipe clamping wise operates and pipe is clamped at two places to avoid vibration during cutting. Vise does not carry the shuttle as in conventional machines..
• Sensor confirms the pipe clamping and both Saw heads starts moving to cut the pipe as per the programmed feed rate to definite position.
• After cutting till certain pre programmed position, Lower Saw head retracts back and Upper head moves further as per the program and then it retracts back rapidly. At the same time lower head again moves forward as per program till pipe is fully cut and then retracts back to home position.
• Pipe clamping Vise operates and de clamp the pipe.
• Shuttle stops and return back to home position and get ready to receive new command for the next cut.
