Abstract: The present subject matter is directed to a dry ready mix plaster prepared using a combination of predetermined ratio of raw materials. The raw materials used are ceramic sand, cement, and fly ash. The ceramic sand is manufactured from fly ash; and the cement used is either Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC); or Portland Pozzolan Cement (PPC). The raw materials are mixed together in the ratio 60-80% of ceramic sand; 10-20% of cement; and 10-20% of fly ash. The mixture of raw materials prepared therein is then mixed with water to prepare and use as a plaster. The dry ready to use plaster prepared using the present composition of raw materials possess distinct characteristics such as, "light in weight, easy to handle, good workability, good finish, ready to use, and less wastage of material", thus, making it a readily marketable product.

COMPLETE SPECIFICATION
(See section 10; rule 13)
"DRY READY MIX PLASTER"
The Tata Power Company Limited, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of India, of A block 2nd floor, 34, Sant Tukaram Road, Carnac-Mumbai 400009, Maharashtra, India.
The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:
DRY READY MIX PLASTER
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present subject matter relates to a readymade plaster and, more particularly, to a dry ready mix plaster that is marketable and ready to use for plaster work in various civil construction sites.
BACKGROUND
Plaster is a building material which is used to coat the walls and ceilings. The plaster is a combination of cement and sand wherein generally one part of cement and three parts of sand are mixed together. The plaster is prepared as a dry powder with the aforesaid composition of cement and sand and, this dry powder is mixed with water to form a paste.
The conventional sand plaster of the type illustrated above is prepared on site, wherein the cement and sand are mixed together with water. If the plaster in the final form is exposed to atmosphere for a longer duration of time; and not used immediately, it gets settled and hence wasted.
In addition to the abovementioned limitations of the manufacturing process of the conventional sand plaster; the sand plaster itself prepared from the said process is not easy to handle, does not offer good workability and good finish and, is much harder than desired.
Moreover, most of the variations of the conventional type of plaster available till date involve use of materials such as, silica and/or asbestos, having severe health hazards; if inhaled. The inhalation of any of these two poisonous compounds may lead to death causing diseases such as, "cancer, asbestosis or silicosis."
Therefore in view of foregoing, there is an exigency of a new and improved form of a plaster that is manufactured from a process which avoids use of abovementioned toxic compounds and, takes care of all the aforesaid technical and safety constraints.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present subject matter will become better understood when the following detailed description is read with reference to the accompanying drawings in which like characters represent like parts throughout the drawings, wherein:
FIG. 1 is a flow chart describing the ingredients and the combination thereof required for manufacturing a dry ready mix plaster in accordance to an aspect of the present subject matter.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The following presents a detailed description of various embodiments of the present subject matter with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The embodiments of the present subject matter are described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the present subject matter is not limited to these embodiments which are only provided to explain more clearly the present subject matter to the ordinarily skilled in the art of the present disclosure.
The present subject matter is directed towards a class of the plaster that is a marketable product and is a ready made material. The ready mix plaster that is a subject of the present disclosure is used for making external or internal wall plaster. The ready mix plaster as described throughout the context of the present description is very much suitable to replace the existing and conventional type of sand plasters and hence, overcome the drawbacks and limitations prevalent in the conventional type of sand plasters as described above.
It is in accordance to an embodiment of the present subject matter that the ready made plaster is prepared in the form of dry mixture of ceramic sand, fly ash and cement. The dry ready mix plaster is manufactured using raw materials "ceramic sand (either fine or coarse), cement and fly ash" as represented in a flow diagram in Fig. 1.
The cement used in manufacturing the dry ready mix plaster of the type as described above can be of any suitable grade. The manufacturing process can either make use of "Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)" or "Portland Pozzolan Cement (PPC)" as per the requirement and suitability. The Ordinary Portland Cement is the most common type of cement in general use and is made by grounding a hard substance "clinker" with a small
amount of gypsum into a powder. The Portland Pozzolan Cement is a variety of cement that includes cements made from natural or artificial pozzolans such as, "fly ash".
The ceramic sand is a ceramic particle product having high fracturing strength and belongs to the class of environmental friendly products. The ceramic sand required for the manufacturing of a dry ready mix plaster can be manufactured from fly ash using mud granulating process or any other process as known in the art.
The third raw material essential for manufacturing a dry ready mix plaster is fly ash. The fly ash because of its inherent pozzolanic properties increases the workability and provides good finish to the plaster material as desired. The use of fly ash also cuts down the water demand by great amount and, is thus very significant in manufacturing the dry ready mix plaster. The fly ash can be easily available from the thermal power stations where it is generally stored.
According to an embodiment of the present subject matter, the dry ready mix plaster manufactured from the composition as described above has a typical predetermined ratio of the raw materials i.e., "ceramic sand, cement and fly ash" to have distinct characteristics such as, "light in weight; easy to handle; good workability; good finish; ready to use; and less wastage of material" as desired in the plaster.
The ratio of raw materials used in manufacturing of the dry ready mix plaster is worked out experimentally and is a result of extensive research and experimentation. In the present embodiment, the ratio is typically in the range of 60-80% of ceramic sand; 10-20% of cement; and 10-20% of fly ash. The raw materials are mixed in the predetermined ratio as stated in the present embodiment; and are then mixed with water as per the requirement, to be used as a plaster having above described characteristics.
Although the invention has been described with reference to specific embodiments and ranges used in specific embodiments, this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense. Various modifications in the ranges of materials as disclosed in the embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments of the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. It is therefore, contemplated that such modifications can be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the present invention as defined.
