Description:DUAL SHADING HIGH CONTRAST SIDEWALL PATTERN FOR TYRE
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of automobiles. Specifically, the present invention relates to sidewall of tyre. More specifically, the present invention relates to sidewall recitation for tyres through dual shading.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
From the existence of tyres, the sidewall has been the most important component of a tyre. To enhance the look and marketability of their products, tyre manufacturers have long used numerals, letters, characters or other designations on the sidewalls of their tyres. Since tyres have a significant influence on a car's personality, many automakers demand that their tyre suppliers brand their Original Equipment (OE) tyres with their own logos or codes on the sidewalls. Additionally, a tire's sidewall(s) are decorated with numerous patterns, letters, and other markings.
Moreover, sidewall(s) of a tire is/are provided with a lot of marks such as patterns, letters and the like. These marks are made by means of a tire mold, on surfaces of which groove structures are provided, and corresponding stripe structures are formed on the surfaces of the tire by vulcanization. A vulcanization mold for the tire is generally made of metal, the surfaces of the tire mold are often machined to be relative smooth, i.e. with higher smoothness. However, the outer surface of the tire obtained by this way, which is of black, is smooth, and such a smooth outer surface will reflect light rays, resulting in a deteriorated appearance of the surface of the tire.
One of the newest trends in tyre sidewall recitation is high contrast sidewall branding. The most popular technique for enhancing the brand on sidewalls with high contrast is laser texturing. Dual shading of branding is another technique that can be used for improvement in addition to laser texturing. This is possible with the aid of laser machining or 3D printing technology.
There are few of the reports available in the state of art about the existence of the tyre sidewall pattern.
USD543932S1 discloses a tire sidewall, the invention includes sidewall(s) of a tire is/are provided with a lot of marks such as patterns, letters and the like.
US11602957B2 discloses a tire with new sidewall pattern, and tire mold, the invention discloses a tire with new sidewall pattern and a tire mold, which belongs to the technical field of tire, the tire includes a tire body, a sidewall of the tire body has a labeling region, in which multiple pattern units are provided; the pattern units are provided to protrude from the tire body, the pattern unit includes a curved portion having a curved segment and extension ends provided at both ends of the curved segment. The tire mold is used for manufacturing the tire. The tire has better visual performance and mechanical performance.
US3853163A discloses a radial tires provided with a sidewall stiffening circumferential structure, the invention discloses a pneumatic tire for vehicles having radial textile cords is provided with circumferential rigidity without loss in riding comfort by disposing a strip of metal cords axially outwardly of the core of the bead and the carcass in the lower portion of the sidewall substantially on the path of the flexional neutral axis thereof to 25 percent to 45 percent of the section height of the tire with the metal cords of the strip being inclined at an angle ranging from 5* to 15* with respect to the circumferential lines of the tire.
From the above mentioned prior arts it’s clearly inferred that the there is lack of existence of dual shading of tyre sidewall with high contrast branding and 3D illusion. Although the existing tyre sidewall patterns have their own advantages, there is a need in the state of art to develop a novel tyre sidewall pattern in order to increase branding scale productivity.
