Abstract: A billing machine with a dynamic QR method implemented in an e-commerce system to facilitate transactions between customer and vendor is disclosed. Billing machine with dynamic QR codes helps enterprises accept contactless and error-free in-store customer payments using any UPI app. In static QR Codes, customers must enter the amount while paying through the UPI app. The proposed billing machine with Dynamic QR offers a solution where the merchant is in control of the amount paid through the QR code. A merchant can generate the dynamic QR code from their Billing machine for a specific order/bill and must pass the order-specific information such as Order ID, Order Amount, etc. while generating the code. The customer can scan this QR to make a payment and the merchant can check the transaction status with UPI using the Order ID and close the order/bill accordingly. Each QR code generated by a merchant for an order is unique and the merchant has control over the order amount and the user cannot change it while scanning the QR code from any app.
Description:Technical Field of the Invention:
[001] The described invention falls within the technical field of electronic payment systems and financial technology. It involves the integration of a billing machine with a dynamic QR code generation method in the context of an e-commerce system.
[002] The billing machine incorporates an algorithm for dynamically generating QR codes based on order-specific information such as Order ID and Order Amount. This algorithm ensures that each QR code is unique and contains the necessary details for processing payments.
[003] The system is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) protocol. UPI is a real-time payment system commonly used in India, and the invention leverages its capabilities to facilitate secure and quick transactions between customers and vendors.
[004] To ensure the security of transactions, the invention likely employs data encryption techniques to protect sensitive information transmitted during the payment process. This includes securing the Order ID, Order Amount, and other transaction details.
[005] The billing machine communicates with UPI-enabled apps through specific communication protocols. This involves the exchange of information between the billing machine and the customer's UPI app to initiate, verify, and complete the payment transaction.
[006] The system includes mechanisms to track and monitor transaction status in real-time using UPI. This involves querying the UPI system with the Order ID to retrieve up-to-date information on the payment status, allowing the merchant to manage orders efficiently.
[007] The billing machine likely features a user-friendly interface for merchants to input order-specific information and generate dynamic QR codes. It may also provide feedback on transaction status and other relevant information to enhance the user experience.
[008] The system may incorporate error-handling mechanisms to address any issues that may arise during the payment process. Additionally, there may be validation checks to ensure the integrity of the generated QR codes and the accuracy of the order information.
[009] In instantaneous, the technical field of this invention encompasses electronic payment systems, financial technology, and the integration of dynamic QR code technology with UPI protocols to facilitate secure and efficient in-store transactions within the realm of e-commerce.
Background of the invention:
[0010] The rapid evolution of financial technologies and electronic payment systems has paved the way for the widespread adoption of cashless transactions across both developed and developing countries.
[0011] As a result, modern society continually seeks faster, safer, and increasingly digitally integrated means to conduct daily commerce activities. One such innovation gaining traction globally is the implementation of Quick Response (QR) codes as a prominent feature in mobile payment platforms.
[0012] Aimed at addressing common challenges encountered in traditional brick-and-mortar stores, such as long queues, incorrect manual inputs, and potential fraud risks, the present invention focuses on blending established billing machine functionalities with advanced digital capabilities.
[0013] By merging well-known hardware devices found in most commercial settings with state-of-the-art software components, the proposed system aims to optimize the overall shopping experience for all parties involved—merchants, staff members, and end-customers alike.
[0014] As part of this revolutionary concept, a primary objective includes empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which typically lack access to expensive Point of Sale (POS) terminals, to leverage affordable yet sophisticated alternatives capable of supporting diverse digital payment modes. Moreover, equipping SMEs with such tools fosters growth opportunities, drives business resilience, and encourages healthy competition against larger industry players.
[0015] By harnessing the power of Unified Payments Interfaces (UPIs) popularized primarily in India, along with other emerging global markets, the inventive billing machines introduce enhanced security features, real-time tracking abilities, and lower barriers to entry compared to conventional POS infrastructure.
[0016] Furthermore, dynamic QR code implementations eliminate cumbersome procedures and minimize erroneous entries often experienced when employing static QR counterparts. Ultimately, this pioneering technological marriage promises significant advancements towards improving operational efficiencies, enriching user engagement, and promoting sustainable revenue streams within today's ever-evolving economic landscape.
Summary of the invention:
[0017] The designed billing machine integrates dynamic QR codes into its e-commerce system to enable swift, precise, and contactless in-store transactions utilizing various UPI applications. These distinctive QR codes allow merchants to manage amounts payable per order or bill accurately. After generating a single-use dynamic QR code linked to specific order information, customers merely need to scan and transact. Post-payment, monitoring transaction statuses becomes straightforward for merchants, enabling them to efficiently finalize sales and reconcile records. Overall, this novel approach enhances efficiency, reduces human errors, and elevates consumer convenience through digital, touch-free payment solutions.
A detailed description of the invention:
[0018] Introducing a revolutionary billing machine that incorporates a dynamic Quick Response (QR) code method into its e-commerce system to streamline transactions between customers and vendors.
[0019] This innovative technology allows businesses to accept contactless and accurate in-store payments via any Unified Payments Interface (UPI) application.
[0020] Traditionally, static QR codes require customers to manually input the amount they wish to pay when making a purchase through a UPI app. However, our new billing machine eliminates this step by providing merchants with the ability to dynamically create QR codes tailored to each individual order or bill.
[0021] When creating these customized QR codes, merchants have full control over the specified order details, including but not limited to, the Order ID and total Order Amount.
[0022] The process begins with the merchant generating a one-of-a-kind dynamic QR code directly from their billing machine for a particular order or bill. They then transmit essential order-related data, like the Order ID and Order Amount, during the generation phase. Upon receiving the dynamic QR code, the customer simply scans it using their preferred UPI app to initiate the payment process.
[0023] At no point does the consumer possess the authority to modify the predetermined order amount associated with the dynamic QR code.
[0024] Following successful completion of the transaction, merchants can effortlessly monitor the status of the payment using the Order ID provided earlier. By doing so, merchants can promptly settle orders and maintain up-to-date records without relying on manual intervention or verification methods.
[0025] The described billing machine with dynamic QR code integration provides a seamless, secure, and efficient way to handle transactions within physical retail environments.
[0026] Merchants benefit from increased accuracy, reduced errors, and improved oversight regarding sales processing. Meanwhile, consumers enjoy quicker, more convenient checkout experiences thanks to contactless payment options enabled by cutting-edge UPI apps.
, Claims:1. The billing machine with a dynamic QR code facilitates contactless transactions between customers and vendors, ensuring a more convenient and error-free payment process.
2. The system is designed to accept payments from customers using any UPI (Unified Payments Interface) app, providing flexibility and convenience for users.
3. In contrast to static QR codes where customers need to manually enter the amount while using UPI apps, the dynamic QR code system eliminates this step, streamlining the payment process for customers.
4. The billing machine of claim-1 empowers merchants by giving them control over the amount paid through the QR code. Merchants can generate a dynamic QR code for a specific order or bill, including order-specific information such as Order ID and Order Amount.
5. As in claim-2, Merchants can check the transaction status using UPI by referencing the Order ID, allowing them to manage and close orders/bills accordingly.
6. As claim-3, Each QR code generated by a merchant for an order is unique, enhancing security and ensuring that the payment is associated with the correct order.
