FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates generally to the field of electric (e) bike, and more particularly the invention relates to an e-patrol bike having swivel and height adjustable seat that facilitate multiple posture for an operator to monitor textile spinning mill machines for piecing broken yarn / attending service requirements.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In textile industry use of ring spinning machine is not new. Ever since its inception the machine has retained its position that produces the strongest, finest, softest and most lustrous yarn and fabric. However yarn breakages are more frequent as a result of ring traveller friction and yarn to air drag forces. Thus, interruptions, broken ends and piecing up problems exist because of the yarn breakages.
In a textile industry shop floor, operators / manual labours monitors the lengthy ring spinning machines, where the operators are forced to walk huge distances to each machine to monitor the status. Usually the textile shop floors are big and the ring frames are large to monitor which causes the operators physically and mentally stressed resulting in poor performance of the operators and fatigue over a period of time.
Over the years, many shop floors used bicycles, bikes, automated vehicles to move within the shop floors along the machine length and from one machine to other machine or to move in between shop floors in a campus. Yet at each work station operator has to stop the vehicle he/she is in and has to get down to do the necessity remedies in the machine which is again a hectic for an operator who works round the clock.
Thus the present invention focus to address the above mentioned drawbacks of the present system where an operator comforts is tested in a textile industry.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
With reference now to figure 1 where a preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated, an electric patrol bike 100 for monitoring spinning mill ring frame for piecing broken yarn primarily consists of a platform 102 also called as chassis, a steering assembly, a frame 106 and a seat assembly 108. The platform 102 forms the base of the bike which is resting on set of rear wheels 110 and it houses a battery (not shown in figure). The wheel base or axle (not shown in figure) mounted below the platform 102 supports the rear wheels 110. Further a supporting wheel 114 can be mounted on axle between rear wheels 110 for additional balancing of vehicle. The platform 102 is connected to the steering assembly through the frame 106. Where both the ends of the frame 106 are firmly fixed to the platform 102 and steering assembly 104 to ensure the platform 102 and the steering assembly 104 are stayed connected together. The steering assembly 104 consists of a fork 116 that is connected to a handle unit 118 at one end and to front wheel 120 at the other end. The handle unit 118 further comprises of a front brake lever 122, rear brake lever 124 and a throttle 126 for controlling the motion of bike 100. Further a motor 128 is positioned on front wheel 120 and is in operative engagement with the battery to impart motion to the bicycle. In another embodiment the motor 128 can be placed on rear wheels 110 to impart motion.
The seat assembly 108 is connected to the axle and passes through the platform 102 and is adapted to swivel to facilitate the operator to revolve thereby facilitate to monitor spinning mill ring frame for piecing broken yarn. The seat assembly 108 of electric patrol bike 100 can be of manual 108a and/or hydraulic type 108b. The corresponding figure 2 shows perspective view of a seat assembly 108 configured in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Figure 3 is an exploded view of manual type seat assembly 108a in an electric patrol bike 100. Accordingly, the manual type seat assembly 108a has a base shaft 130 which reciprocates inside a seat post 132. And the seat post 132 fixed on wheel base. A seat 134 operably connected to a base mount 136 for horizontal rotation is fitted to one end of a base shaft 130. The base shaft 130 has a lock hole 138 controlled by a hole locker pin 140 for seat height adjustment. By adjusting base shaft movement and base mount position, the vertical movement and horizontal rotation of the seat can be controlled to suit operator’s function.
Figure 4 is an exploded view of hydraulic type seat assembly 108b in an electric patrol bike 100. The hydraulic type seat assembly 108 of the electric patrol bike 100 has a piston 142 which reciprocates inside a hydraulic cylinder 144. And the cylinder 144 is fixed on wheel base or rear axle. A seat 134 operably connected to a base mount 136 for horizontal rotation is fitted to piston 142 which reciprocates in a hydraulic cylinder 144. The position of piston 142 in the cylinder 144 is operably controlled by a hydraulic adjuster 146 for seat height adjustment. By adjusting piston movement and base mount position, the vertical movement and horizontal rotation of the seat can be controlled to suit operator’s function.
Additionally, electric patrol bike 100 can be linked to spindle monitoring system in Ring frame through a server connected to any display device like mobile, tablet etc., or head phone for providing required data for the operator viz., rove braking on which spindle on particular ring frame and others. Further the details of spindle viz., running / stopped end-break / stopped-rogue / slip / slip and rogue / idle / running but rogue can be monitored. Under such situations a sms or an e-mail or an alert buzz is sent to the display device through server for appropriate remedies.
From the invention, the driver seat is made swivel to facilitate 360 degree to move for the job of piecing broken yarn to be carried / for attending service requirements while in sitting position of textile spinning mill siders. Further, the design and size is finished and matched with ergonomic standards to suit specific application of textile mills. Even the overall size of the invented product is compact.
The general application of electric patrol bike 100 is to move around inside and outside of campus where walking of distance is more and where the road surface is uniform and for smoother movement application. The specific application includes monitoring textile mill rove brakes in RF machines, e-bike fitted with bobbin basket for loading in Ring frame machines, for movement of maintenance team along with tool kit box. Further In textile mill in weaving section attending breakages and monitoring weaving machines where more patrol is required.
Although but one preferred embodiment of the invention has been illustrated, it will be obvious to those skilled in this art that other embodiments may be readily designed within the scope and teachings thereof.
It shall be understood that changes in and modifications of the aforesaid exemplary embodiment of the invention may be made within the scope of the appended claims.
